I am stocked inside a dark room. I keep on knocking while shouting in the tip of my lungs. But my little voice can't hear them. The loud thunder roared followed by the rain. My tears fell down like the heavy rain while calling my mother. Until heard the sirens are approaching our house. I can't wait for them. Please save us quickly.

I knocked again hoping that they will hear me. And it was followed by the loud thunder. How can they hear me? If in every knock thunder will follow?! Save me please. Save my mother. That's all I pray. I heard my mother shouted my name. I knocked so hard almost breaking the door, until someone opened it. I look at the tall guy who opened the door. So tall that I can't even see his face. "Who are you?! Where's mommy?!" I asked. He didn't answer my question. He just pulled me in my right arm and it hurts like hell. I tried my best to slip away from his grip. But it is so tight like my blood has been blocked by it. "Who are you?! Where are you going to take me?! Where is mommy?!" I asked but he didn't answer.

We reached our living room. It is still dark but I can see our furniture was disarranged and was wrecked. I roamed my eyes to find my mother but I can't see her. Where is she?! "MOMMY! MOMMY!" I shouted. But I got no response from her. Someone kicked our door strongly to open it. "Mr. Kim. You are under arrest. Release the child and surrender now." The police man with a loudspeaker said. The lights from the police’ cars serve as light in our living room and help me see everything.

“Sungjae! Son! Lea-Leave my son alone!” I heard my mother form behind. I looked at her and there she is, wounded, blood covered her face. She’s holding her right arm full of blood.

            “Mommy?! Mommy!” I wiggled my body to slip away from the guy’s grip. Until loud gunshot passed through my ears.

            It is so fast. Everything just stopped. I can’t hear them. Mommy was lying there while looking at me. Her eyes were wide open. What just happened? “MOMMY! MOMMY!” That’s all I shouted. I heard another gunshot and the guy who is holding me was already on the floor. His head was facing me covering with bloods. I slumped my body unconsciously while looking at the guy. BLOOD. DARKNESS. GUNSHOTS. STORM. WHAT HAPPENED?!

            I looked at my mother and she’s still lying but her eyes were already closed. “Mommy. MOMMY!”  I said, crawling toward her until I reached her. I held her cold hand. It’s like she’s from cold area. She’s so pale.  “Mommy! Mommy!” that’s all I mumbled waiting for her response but I got nothing.

            There goes the rescue team. They put her in a stretcher to bring her to the hospital. It is not too late right? She can still make it. She’s still alive. She will hug me and kiss me again right?
