Clothes scattered all around the floor and Hye Kyo's bed. It has been 30 minutes since she was trying everything out of her wardrobe yet she felt like she has nothing to wear.

 

"Why is it so difficult?!" She looked at all the mess she made.

 

"You look good in anything, I know he'll be more than okay even if you put nothing on." Ji Won shouted from inside the bathroom.

 

"Ya you wanna die?!" She was lucky she was in the bathroom or else I would have give her a proper beating, Hye Kyo thought.

 

Hye Kyo finally settled on a white polkadot shirt and black jeans. She wore her hair down and dabbed some lipstick. She didn't want to go overboard, since it was on campus but she still wanted to look decent for her first meeting with her sunbae.

 

 

She got to the cafeteria first, already finished her class by 12. With hot chocolate in hand, she was ready to wait for her sunbae. 10 minutes into reading her basic economy book when someone cleared his throat and stood in front of Hye Kyo.

 

"Have you wait for a long time? I'm sorry."

 

Hye Kyo looked up and met a pair of hypnotizing brown eyes. Her sunbae, Joong Ki was standing there, a hand awkwardly scratched the back of his head and smiled shyly.

 

 

"Oh! No, it's okay, sunbae. I just got here anyway." She smiled back, a bit hesitant. Joong Ki took a seat in front of her.

 

Hye Kyo felt the tension and awkwardness getting stronger by the minute, it was almost unbearable. In addition to that, some of the people at the cafeteria took notice at Joong Ki and started whispering among themselves.

 

Hye Kyo finally broke the silence. "Sunbae, you want anything to drink?"

 

"Hmm... Uh? What? Oh. I'm sorry. Yeah, I'm gonna get something first." He was stuttering when she asked; he actually was staring at her and couldn't break the stare because man, the girl was fine, he thought. She only wore a casual blouse and have a little color on her lips but she looked prettier than most of the girls here. To hid his embarrassment, he got up and order a cup of coffee.

 

When he came back to their table, he got his laptop out and turned it on. He glanced across and saw her keep her head down, playing with her cup.

 

"Hye Kyo-ssi. You can take a look at the pictures and sort them out, copy what you and your friend would like." He handed out his laptop to her. She took it from his grasp, but accidentally brushed his hand in the process. They both jolted from the touch, something felt rushing through their veins. Joong Ki felt his heart just beating a lot faster, and Hye Kyo's face was starting to redden.

 

It was an awkward silence once again, when Hye Kyo tried to keep her focus on sorting out pictures from orientation camping; she couldn't help but noticed there were quite a lot photos of her. She wondered if he really was around her all the time at the orientation camping, but she could only remember some of the moments she saw him near her. She glanced up from the laptop and caught Joong Ki's eyes were staring at her but he abruptly fixed his gaze somewhere else. Joong Ki couldn't believe she had caught him staring at her twice. 'Very embarrassing, Song Joong Ki. You should be ashamed of yourself', he muttered to himself.

 

"Sunbae, I think I'm done copying. Thank you so much. My friend sometimes can be such a nuisance." Hye Kyo handed the laptop back to Joong Ki.

 

"It's alright. I'm always the one who took the pictures so I do meet people for things like this."

 

"Oh, yeah. You are a good photographer. The pictures turned out very nicely." She nodded, taking a sip from her cup. "I think I should get going now if you don't mind, sunbae."

 

"You have somewhere else to go?"

 

"I need to pick up my friend from her class today, she told me she need something." She smiled apologetically.

 

"Sure then. Nice to see you, Hye Kyo-ssi. Do you mind if I keep texting you and probably have our next meeting sometime later?"

 

Joong Ki asked the question very casually but Hye Kyo's eyes widened, she couldn't believe his straightforwardness. She didn't know how to answer to that, actually.

 

"Uh... Of course, sunbae. I'll be there if you need me for anything at all. Please take care of me. I'll see you later then." She muttered, bowed to him and walked out of the cafeteria with lots of eyes watching her movement.

 

Joong Ki still sat on his seat, taking big gulps of his now cold coffee. He couldn't believe he could survive through the meeting, he felt like he was sweating a lot under his clothes. He has never been so straightforward to a girl before. Scratch that, he has never been interested in any girl since his last breakup. For this particular one though, he wanted to know more of her.

 

And she probably would like to know more of him, he hoped, like what she wrote on her love letter.
