Description

Choi Yuna was a ballerina. Kwon Soonyoung was a street dancer.

They could dance away from each other's hearts, but they could never dance into them.

11 stages of Yuna and Soonyoung's love that never was:

i. She approached him and they crossed paths for a moment, casting a glance at the opposite party.

ii. Their backs faced each other. With another forlorn glance, they held hands momentarily before separating.

iii. The two linked arms but separated yet again.

iv. They covered their faces, unwilling to reveal their abandoned sides.

v. She took his hands with hers for the first time.

vi. He raised hers.

vii. But eventually, he slipped away from her fingertips and she could only stare at what there used to be.

viii. She reached his shoulder as one of her last struggles. But when he turned back, she was gone faster than expected.

ix. He grabbed her hand as one of his last struggles and made a plea that sounded perfect in dreams, yet flawed in reality.

x. Nevertheless, she did not give in and left, immersed in wistfulness.

xi. If only she could run through time and become an adult again...

Foreword

A/N:  I'm on an angst spree again xDD It's probably obvious, but YujuxHoshi's dance collab in MAMA 2016, with the combined efforts of Gfriend's masterpiece Rough (both its MV and lyrics), is what has inspired me to create this story. Therefore, the story will be heavily influenced by that performance and song. It'll also be mostly inspired by Taeyeon's 11:11, and may make a few references to Yuju & Sunyoul's Cherish (as well as some other songs which I feel are relevant to this story). I was so excited when I thought of it like a few weeks ago that I even wrote the entire dialogue out first. It's my first attempt to write actual romance, and I hope I don't disappoint xD (I honestly want to try writing a HoshixYujuxDK story too even though love triangles are cliche and all that, but eh, I have no idea what the story will be so I'll lay off for now ; u ;)

Chapter 6: Oh dear, these last 3 chapters were surely fantastic, I enjoyed how they became closer and closer to each other. I really love slowburn relationships and Soonyoung and Yuna's relationship is definitely one of them. I didn't think that you would put their story into the real-life events, by this I mean that they are trainees under Source and Pledis Entertainment, so it was a rather nice twist. Your descriptions are always so vivid, especially when you portray a dance, I have so much fun reading them. They sure matured and became more responsible during the last couple of months but the connection between them is stronger than ever. The references are lovely. On top of that, I especially loved the 6th chapter's animal shelter scene. It's such a serious issue, I'm happy that you decided to involve animal abuse in your story. I've been doing volunteer work at an animal shelter too, so I exactly know how heart-breaking it is to see those abandoned and injured furries.
All in all, I can't wait to read more! I totally love this story! <3
