Summary

    It begins in Goryeo dynasty where the princes and Soo’s friends listens to her fairytales, including the ones related with faraway lands, daring swords, magic spells, and true loves. During the reign of Gwangjong, an inevitable death took his true love, Soo, away from him, causing the origin of “the Evil King” within that all powerful clan quiver with fear. During the arranged loveless marriage between Wook and the princess from Jeongju, Gwangjong, grudgingly swore to destroy Wook’s happiness, if it is the last thing he could do. Before his death, he vows if his true love cannot find him in this life, he will find her in the next, thus created the magnificent curse during the eclipse along with the moment of his last breath.

    In the modern life in Korea…well at the fictional Korean Island “Myeonghwado (명화도)”, Go Ha-Jin, who lost her memory from her attempted suicide, traveled from Seoul to get a job, only to find many people she finds them familiar. As she enters the island, everything goes even more chaotic as it is revealed that Myeonghwado was actually the portal world combined between early 10th and 21st century, along with the curse Ha-Jin has read through the myth from Goryeo, especially the tale of cursed king. As the story progresses, there are more myths, plot twists where no one expects and it’s up to Soo who, once again, involved into a war. But this time, it is not a war for the throne…it is a war for the survival and for her.
