When Kim Jongdae was born already seeing colors, everyone assumed that he just wasn’t destined for a soulmate, a rare but understandable case. Now he’s grown up and living with what he thought was the girl of his dreams. Then he happens upon the local tech geek in his apartment building and his vision turns black and white. 

Colors and hues were normal to him. Any color was his to see, to relish in. He had taken it for granted honestly. Seeing his friends gain color after finding their soulmate was amusing, and they claimed that they didn't realize how beautiful the world was until their soulmate had been found. Of course, Jongdae wouldn't know. He's always seen them. As far as Kim Jongdae was concerned, his soulmate didn't exist, and that was fine by him.

Author's Note: Kim Jongdae is literally my bae and I've had this story for SO LONG because I'm in love with soulmate AUs, and thanks to the First Frost Writing Challenge, I've got a fire lit in me to compete and complete, so to speak.
