Park Bom was a simple girl living in a poor family. She couldn't read or write, couldn't draw or sing but she managed to be happy as long as she is with her family members. This is until the Lord of the 7th District decided to raise taxes for everyone living in that area and her beloved, older brother died from tuberculosis. Lord's servants gave the Park family an ultimatum: they are going to give every single personal belonging they own to pay off their debts or their oldest daughter, Bom, will become a personal pet for their Master's eccentric son, Soo Hyuk.

This story is literally stalking me for a while now. It's placed in an alternative universe so it's quite hard to choose a specific time frame, but I'm mostly inspired by the victorian society and steampunk subculture so you might want to research those for a reference (especially for buildings and clothing).
