A Quick Intro

Hello there, this is kei_sainter!

Welcome to my fanfic for the 2016 Korean drama Cinderella and Four Knights.

The ship is Hyunmin x Hawon and the genres are fluff & romance & bromance.

Where Hyun-Min (Ahn Jae Hyun) is a prince, Hawon (Park So Dam) is a one-of-a-kind knight, and Ji-Woon (Jung Il Woo), Seo-Woo (Lee Jung Shin) and Yoon-Sung (Choi Min) are incredibly good looking knights.

Why? Because CA4K writers were mean. The made us (me) completely fall in love with Hyunmin in episodes 1-7 before such an amazing about-face that I still have whiplash. I didn't get over it then and I'm not over it now.

This is specifically written as entry for the Asian Drama OTP Writing Contest hosted by JESLEN.

The contest is simple: Write a story with an OTP from any Asian drama. Check out the comp guys and hopefully you'll find some stories - I found some really nice ones in there that went on my reading list!

And the story begins...

'Prince Hyun-Min, you're going to be late for the meeting with The Order,' Hyunmin's exasperated secretary/butler Greg said, 'your grandfather is going to be angry with you again.'

Hyun-Min tsked in annoyance before turning to the gorgeous girl beside him, 'Sorry, sweetie. I guess I have to go,' he brushes his knuckles against her cheek and she pouted prettily.

She leaned in for one last kiss and Hyun-Min was more than happy to oblige her.

'The Order is here,' Greg announced.

Finally Hyun Min pulled himself away as a number of the Knights of the Order, the protectors of Hyun Min's kingdom, filed into the room. With a slight gesture, he signalled for Greg to the girl from the room.

'Yes, Yoon-Sung-ssi,' he address the most senior knight in the formation of ten, 'what was so important that you couldn't give me an extra five minutes?'

'Apologies your highness,' Yoon-Sung bowed, 'our appointment was at 3:30, it is now 3:38. We did give you 8 minutes.'

Hyun-Min's eyes narrowed as some of the knights held back snorts of laughter. Yoon-Sung was secure in knowing that he was the King's favourite (Hyun-Min's grandfather) and unlike other knights he often broke protocol and was not afraid to exchange words with Hyun-Min and put him in his place.

'We have a new knight in our Order,' Yoon-Sung continued, 'it is tradition that we introduce the new knight to the King and the Crown Prince within 48 hours of their appointment.'

Hyun-Min was surprised. This was a rare occurence because it was such a hard process to become known as one of the best 11 knights in the land. The last time was when his own cousin Seo-Woo had joined the ranks. His gaze wandered over the formation and eyed them all - recognising most of them until he saw a pipsqueak, barely half the size of the largest man.

'This one?' he asked, walking over to stand in front of the person, who had their hat low over their eyes.

Yoon-Sung nodded, 'May I present Eun Ha Won, Knight of the Order.'

'Ha Won? Isn't that a girl's name?' Hyun-Min asked, as the same time as the head went up and a cheerful face peered up at him. As a smile broke onto Ha Won's face, eyes disappeared into tiny slits, 'Prince Hyun Min, I am happy to serve you.'

A girl.

The new knight was a girl.

And what was this erratic thudding in his heart?
