Prologue

Concentrate. Breathe. Aim. Relax. Shoot. 

And miss.

"Nice shot," A young voice, belonging to a female, called out. Although the owner of the voice was nowhere to be seen.

"I missed," He grumbled as he furiously stomped over to the arrow that stuck to the tree and took it out. There were noises of bushes and leafs rumbling and suddenly a girl came out carrying her bow in one hand and basket in the other.

The girl removed her red hood, letting her long, blonde, wavy hair fall back and he could finally see her face. Sharp eyes that formed into thin cresent lines as a playful grin formed on her lips. She was obviously teasing him. "I saw."

"When will you stop teasing me over my aim?" He asked as he placed his arrow back in his bow.

"When you stop missing," She said as she quickly pulled an arrow from her back, placed it in her bow, and shot the apple he had missed at the top of the tree. The apple fell and she walked over, grabbed it, and bit into it.

"This isn't time to be playing around," He said grumpily as he stared her down.

The younger girl who had just turned nineteen only kept eating the apple, not caring what he said. "Relax. You're good with the bow and arrow. You're just too tense with the whole 'rebellion' thing going on."

"As a leader how could I not be tense?" He asked with a scoff.

The girl could only roll her eyes before letting out a deep sigh. "Look, we all trust you. We all know you're good. And that's why we chose you as leader. Don't feel pressured to become something you already are. You are a great leader and I know you can lead us in this "

He looked at her as a small smile formed on his lips. His mouth opened to say something, but sudden ruffling of leafs and bushes was heard. Crunching leaves under someone's loud and quick footsteps. The sounds got louder and nearer and both the boy and the girl turned in the direction of the sound with horrified looks.

The two then glanced at each and without speaking any words, they grabbed their bows, placed an arrow, and aimed in the direction of the noises, waiting to shoot whatever jumped at them. But what jumped out wasn't what they had thought it would be.

A tired looking boy stood in front of them, trying to catch his breath as he could barely spit out any sentences. "I-i... the... the palace people...!"

The girl and the boy looked at each other with lost looks before they looked back at one of their many helpers. "Just spit it out!"

"The palace people! They're attacking the town!" The boy was finally able to spit out.

The boy and the girl both looked at each other with horrified expressions before they said no more and ran off through the forest, headed for the kingdom they knew as home.

Author's Corner

Intro to me:

Hello! I'm Jackie, and I really like all these groups that I have included in this story. From Lovelyz my number one girl group to Infinite my number one boy group and BTS the only group here I don't stan but I really like. Plus additions like YooA, Yeri, Hyungsik, etc who are idols I really like, and are in groups I really like, but don't fully stan.

How I came up with the idea:

I was listening to this one soundtrack from Cinderella and Four Knights and it was so fairytale like and then I watched Narnia and I wanted to so something very fantasy inspired. And little by little, the idea of fairytales mashed up together came to my head, although I add my own twist because some fairytales aren't my cup of tea. And the I realized it sounds like Once Upon a Time (great show), but I didn't actually come with the idea because of that.

 My intentions with this story:

This is my first fanfiction I'm really serious about in a while, because I have just been writing this past year just to include my favorite groups in cute stories that are mostly in drafts. But I got really into this story and ended up making so many plans and charts and I have a whole binder now with plans, so I have decided to let others read this story too.

In fact, I'm actually trying to get this story advertised on my birthday, May 18, but I don't know if I'll be able to make it. But if I don't, I'll do it another day. (Update: I have been able to advertise this story on 06/27/17 ^^)

Originally it was meant to be more crack comedy, and then it was meant to be more action and dark, and somehow, I ended up with this story that is just pure fantasy, fairytale, comedy, action, and a lot of adventure.

 The characters:

Coming up with the fairytale characters, and the idols that would play them was a. . . struggling process. There were some characters where I just knew who they would be. Ken of VIXX was automatically Prince Charming. From his musical and the outfit, I just had the image in my head.

There were other characters, though, like Jisoo of Lovelyz who I thought about for days until it finally clicked, Snow White, and it was the most fitting thing ever, as if the role was made for her, and fit perfectly with my storyline.

And there were the characters where I changed their roles millions of times to end up with something that I wasn't all proud of, like Changkyun of Monsta X, which I'm still not all too sure what he is.

And finally, there's characters that aren't part of the original fairytales, but go along with what I have. Like Jaehyun and Jaemin being the younger brother's of Ken/Jaehwan, making them the three Charming's.

But over all, I am actually pretty proud with all the characters I have and the idols I chose for them. I have very detailed plans for even the smallest characters, and I hope everyone looks forward to seeing how they're all connected.

 Final words:
