I know that a love like this won't last forever
But I, I don't really mind, I don't really mind』
Being an exchanged student in America gives sixteen teenagers from Korea many opportunities and chances to do things for the first time. For a few of these students, that means falling in love. Kim Taehyung, Yoo Jeongyeon, Min Yoongi, and Kim Namjoon know this the best out of their classmates.
〈alternative universe focusing on BTS and Twice members as exchanged students in Chicago, IL. Told from perspective of Jeongyeon, Taehyung, and a student attending the school named Kaylee.〉

Foreword

Jeongyeon
That's America.
I thought as the plane touched down in LA yesterday. It was so dark, but you could still see the city lights. I tapped on Nayeon's shoulder to wake her. Nayeon gasped as she looked out my window as the plane slowed to a stop.
"We're here." Dahyun said excitedly in English. I smiled and grabbed my backpack. We'd get off this plane and quickly be rushed to another to fly us to Chicago. Chicago. Even the name of that city sounds magical. I couldn't wait to see it. I also couldn't wait to see the girl behind the screen I've been communicating with about my stay. I couldn't wait to see what an American house looks like, or what the food taste like, or what the people here are really like. Maybe they'd respect my short hair more here. Maybe I'd fit in more than I do back home because I wouldn't be the tallest girl in my class.
After a short plane ride, we arrived at the Chicago O'Hare airport at about 09:00 their time. One of the younger boys, I think his name was Jimin, helped me with my luggage as we got off the plane. I never talked to any of the boys besides Seokjin and Namjoon before this trip so I still felt nervous being around them. A van picked us up from the airport and brought us to the hotel where we'd stay until we met our hosts tomorrow morning. None of us knew what to do once we were at the hotel. Our teacher who was with us suggested we go to the pool, but all of us were too tired. Well at least all of us as in me and my friends. The only people crazy enough to want to swim were Taehyung, Hoseok, and Tzuyu, all of which seemed as though this time change hadn't affected them at all. I smiled at their energy and decided I was just going to stay in my hotel room with Nayeon and Jisoo. The other girls were on the floor below us along with some of the boys, so we were a little lonely up here. I guess that was good though, because we all got to rest. We all got to rest for this stupid day that is today. The day when I found out my host was a racist , guys in America have no limit on how much they'll harass you, and that kids are really, really mean.

Taehyung
We're actually here.
I thought as I saw the American school for the first time. The van just dropped us off at 07:15 Chicago time, which to me was around nine in the evening. Wow. That was weird.
"Hyung," I said, turning to Namjoon. "Are you nervous?" I asked him. Namjoon shook his head.
"Naw, I know this is going to be a wonderful adventure, just like life should be." I smiled and bit my lip. Wait, was I actually nervous? "You okay, Tae Tae?" Namjoon asked. I nod.
"Yeah, just a little worried about my English. I mean, I've only been taking two years. I'm nowhere near as good as you or Jin-hyung. Not even as good as Kookie." I said, looking at the sleeping maknae of our group. He's not great, but at least he doesn't have as much of an accent as me. I'm hard to understand, or at least our teacher said so. However, I apparently was good enough to come here for three months. I breathed in and out, calming myself. Namjoon put his arm around me.
"Don't worry, they'll love you, Tae. I wish I had even half the personality you do. You'll make friends quickly. Now, let's get off this van and experience America." I smiled and grabbed my backpack.
Here goes nothing

Kaylee
There they are. Those Korean kids. Everyone keeps talking about them since it's their first day here, but I bet they'll be forgotten in a week. Not by me though, since I kind of have to remember just one of them existing since my neighbor Robert is hosting one. He'll get to come back to his house today, so that'll be interesting. That poor boy. He'll have Mandy and all her cheerleader friends fawning over him since the squad usually hangs out there after practice. Mandy and Robert are in some serious relationship, so that'll make the Korean boy off limits in the means of dating, but that doesn't mean she won't talk about him the full two months he's here. The worst part is that they're all attractive.  Both the guys and the girls. Like what is this? Maybe they just picked the prettiest boys and girls in their school to come to America. I don't know. So far all I know is pretty much everyone is talking about them. And one of them is going to be in my next period math class. I guess I'll see how that goes.
