A chocolate chip muffin and an iced Americano is what he orders everyday at 6pm. He stays here to work until closing and walks home in the same direction as me. I always serve and he always asks how I'm doing and I do the same. We know each other so well, but yet we don't even know each other's names. Our sweet simple exchanges suddenly go awry when I change schools and see him there standing in the front of my class.
