You were sitting on the single couch while you sipping down your ice latte. You look across you as you saw a small group of your cousins talking with each other.

“He gives me this as a present for our 100 days.” You saw one of your cousins said as she showing off a small ring on her ring finger.

“Whoa, how lucky! I envy you.” You heard another cousin of yours said.

You just rolled your eyes as you realized how fake and uninteresting their conversation was. You then heaved a sigh as you told yourself that it’ll be done in a few minutes and then you could excuse yourself from that boring family gathering that you have.

“What are you doing here all alone?” Your attention drew to your mom who was standing beside your couch while she holding a glass of tequila in her hand.

“Why?”

“Go blending with your siblings, your cousins there have a lot of fun, what are you doing here like a loner?”

“No thanks.” You said before you gulping down your latte.

You heard your mom heaved a sigh which make you look at her.

“Don’t you know what they talk about you? You're a nerd, a loner, anti-social etc. Why are you acting like this?”

“What did I do wrong, Mom? I mean like, if I have more fun reading than talking nonsense is wrong then I have no problem with that. If I brace being alone but I'm comfortable with it instead of blending in crowd but I feel empty, then I’d have no objection of being a ‘loner’ and I'm not an anti-social just because I don’t see what fun of boasting around about ourselves is.” You said those words before you got up and excused yourself to leave the event.
