Not Enough: Chapter 20               THE DEVIL INSIDE     If life itself gives glory and pain to those it serves why would death be any different?   Yuri is with her. Ever since the devil inside that beautiful soul has been extracted to feed on the bearings of hell, leaving its vessel lifeless. Still Yuri hoped.   Taeyeon is laid down over an open casket with white roses serving as her cushion. The once powerful heir has her eyes closed, the diamonds in her hands lost the shimmer it possessed. Taeyeon’s hair is as soft as the silky black dress she is wearing. For as much as everyone would dub the vampire heir is exactly the true meaning of ethereal.    “That was easy.” Came a voice. When Yuri turned around it was Yoona and her favorite blood bags.    Newly turned Veiss, her skin glowed like every Veiss vampire did. Only difference is the sad eyes, those sad brown eyes that understood how Yuri feel a little too well.    “Everyone knew that without you, she will recover from the nature magic engulfing her as Seohyun will not survive if she continued the chant. For you, it is easy.” Yoona seemed alarmed as Yuri shifted a little in her stance.    “It’s not.” Yuri answered, eyes still on Taeyeon’s peaceful state.   “Why so? All you had to do was tell her something emotional and then she just closed her eyes like a baby.”   Eyes darting to find answers the heir tilted her head sideways. And Yoona had to slurp all the remaining blood in her hand to gulp it in one draw.   “Okay, It’s just, Jinki is killed by her. Master Siege sacrificed himself. Jessica is human. I’m a Veiss. Tiffany is a living corpse. Seohyun might be the last of her kind and Sunny is struggling with handling her power. Even Sooyoung is currently on a diet, which I don’t have to put worry on but Yuri, Why?”   “What are you trying to say?” Yuri heaved up a long and deep breathe before standing in front of Yoona.    “Let her go. Stop on the hopes. She is the villain in this story. Put her in a place where she can’t harm any of us again, any of the generations. Anyone.” Yoona has tears in her eyes. The other bloodbag bursts into millions of shredded plastic. Blood drooled over her hands and on to the floor. Reaching Yuri’s feet.   “Do you think Taeyeon wanted all of this?” She asked, mirroring the same amount of pain Yoona’s eyes produced.    The heir stood still. Her locks curled into perfection yet it swayed in the wind like ragged breaths of a faltering expectation. Yuri knows everything but the one thing she does not know is how to return all of those who are taken away. For life is the essence that makes her of who she is, death however is her limit. It is a regular chili.” She smiled.   “Oh well. I could’ve cooked something but with the looks of this rundown safehouse, we can’t get a proper ingredients aside from the mushrooms that grows by the bushes there.” Yuri apologetically smiles.    Jessica tightened the hug on the taller one’s waist, cradling her head upwards to meet the expected height difference.   “About what happened, I have no memories of why and hows but Yuri, When am I going to?”   Yuri smiles.    “Now.”   —   The place they are in is not like Admon, not like  Lacey either.
