Duality

Description

His breath caught in his throat as Jaebum finally revealed himself, his legs weren't actually bare, hugged by footless tights well matched to his skin but that all paled in comparison to the dark fabric of the leotard stretched across his arms and torso as he dipped into another back bend. Yugyeom could barely think, let alone breathe.

Foreword

So...

The awesome Meg inspired me for some serious stripper!JB today but that's not quite what this is going to be.

Based on this sketch, drawn by the aforementioned Meg, this fic centers around a burlesque circus.

(I just needed an excuse to put JB in a leotard okay, look how pretty this sh*t is omg)

I'm not remotely sorry ;)

warnings; probably some swearing, yugyeom's y thoughts (lol)

fabulous poster is also by Meg <333333

(background by me)

side note, you should probably google "aerial silks" or search them on youtube if you don't know what those are ;P

alternatively here is a cirque du soleil performance I particularly like

I took me a minute to thing about what I wanted to say here. I was honestly trying to think of a better word then magical, but I really can't. Everything was just magical, from the description of the aerial silks routine (my absolute favourite of the a Cirque du Soleil), to the discrete attention to detail in every description and the slight sprinkling of humour invoked by the interactions between characters.
Thank you for the great read. I'll be interested to see any sequels or continuations to this.

Chapter 1: Very well done my dear. I actually know what you're talking about with aerial performances and silks and such, but only because I enjoy such shows and absolutely adore Cirque du Soleil. XD I very much enjoyed this too! Between Jaebum's easy confidence and awesome talent, to the comedy provided by Jinyoung and Jackson's interactions, to Yugyeom's infatuation and awe... It was all quite charming and just a joy to read. I laughed out loud with some of the dialogue in the early parts (like when Yugyeom game Jackson up to Jinyoung for not telling him about the dress code sooner) and the normal driver comment. heh Jackson would definitely be me in that aspect. ^_^

Your descriptions were also very well done and it was easy to see the magic of the show happening in my head. I know what kinds of drops you're talking about with those 'falls' they perform, and that sometimes infuriating smile that always stays in place when they're on stage. I can also perfectly see him giving all those cheeky grins and mischievous smiles. lol I don't think Yugyeom's thoughts were all that y, considering the situation - I'd be admiring hardcore too, regardless of what gender I preferred. haha But a sequel would be interesting to read. I'm intrigued.

Great job with this one and I'll keep an eye out for any continuations. *cheers*
