"Would you like to dance with me?" Like a ringing bell, those words continued to play through my head, my gaze had not once left him throughout the whole ordeal.
From the view of an outsider, I must have looked like someone who had fallen in love at first sight. But in reality, I was completely terrified and this was probably one of my worst nightmares.
"...umm...no?" I mumbled nervously tugging on my dress a little as I tried to back away.
He gently grabbed my wrist with a sweet smile if only looks could kill, I would already be dead both by his smile and hateful glares I received from his fans.
"It's only one dance," he promised. "Besides, you wouldn't be so cruel as to reject me in front of all these people, would you?"
Noticing all the attention, he gave me a knowing look. He had me cornered. So reluctantly, I followed him out to the dance floor.
Slowly swaying to the rhythm of the music, step by step I followed his lead.
Everyone's attention was on us, their gazes filled with envy and longing. I don't blame them, though. If I was a normal girl, I would've fallen for him too.
And who wouldn't feel honored to be able to dance with Kim Minseok himself? He was the heir to the Hunsik fortune. As one of the big ten, I should have known sooner that they were the ones to be tied into the story.
He was handsome alright. Fine thick brows and pretty cat eyes. It's no wonder why he was so popular.
Even his touch was gentle. And although I'd only lightly touched his shoulder, I could tell that his biceps and muscles were very well defined.
They would call him the perfect man. I could see why now since he is a good balance between pretty and masculine
"A penny for your thoughts, m'lady?" Minseok asked me, interrupting my train of thought.
"I'm sorry?" unconsciously my words came out more like a question.
"Even though you are dancing with me your mind seems to be preoccupied elsewhere" He expressed. "I was just wondering what could be of so much importance that it keeps you away from me?"
Was he joking? If I didn't know better those words seem to be flirting with me.
"I-it's just that I'm nervous, that's all" I made up the excuse. "I'm sorry, as you can tell I'm not really used to these kinds of things."
"I've heard," he said as he spun me around once. I looked at him with curiosity "You are quite famous around here you see, they call you the 'Shut-in Princess'."
I frowned at the nickname. The story has changed again, but I guess this was much better than the 'Stuck-up Princess'.
"Should I have not told you about it?" he chose his words carefully and I shook my head.
"No, this is much better," I told him honestly. "I would've found out sooner or later."
"That's good, I guess. You would be less angry at me then."
"..."
Leaning closer to me, he whispered in my ear.
"I'm sorry, but I didn't approach you with all the right intentions" showing me the view of my juries.
