Chapter 3
Love Finds Its WayThankfully, after a terrible accident, you are still alive. You are in a coma at the hospital, and you went under four surgeries. Your leg and arm are broken, and you won’t be able to walk for about three months. That wasn’t the bad news. The bad news was what the doctor told your parents at the hospital. Your parents wait in the chairs inside your hospital room. They are praying so hard for you to wake up, but you are still in a coma. The nurse comes in and calls your parents.
“Please come to the office of the doctor,” the nurse says. Your parents follow her to the office, and they are worried. As they enter, the doctor has a worried look on his face, looking like he doesn’t even want to tell them the news.
“Please sit down,” the doctor says, as calmly as he could. “We are so sorry about your daughter. Her condition isn’t that stable right now, and she won’t be able to walk for three months.”
Frustrated, your mom says, “Yes we know. Just get to your point already.”
“Well, Y/N will wake up any day within the next three weeks. There is bad news. The bad news is that, she won’t be able to remember anything,” the doctor slowly says.
“What?!” your parents say in unison.
“I’m very sorry. There was a complication in her brain that caused her to lose her memory. Also, it is better for her not to know about the accident. It will traumatize her since she is very fragile right now,” the doctor says.
“Oh what do we do? Our poor daughter will suffer like this? No!” your dad says as he exits and slams the door. Your mom walks out of the door to sit and talk with your dad. They are in a serious conversation when Mark’s parents approach them.
“What happened? Is she alright? We’re so sorry, because of Joey--” Mrs. Tuan says as she gets cut off.
