Clubbing is fun, but you prefer to go alone. Pulling on a simple outfit consisting of navy blue pants and its matching blazer on a black top paired with black/gold clutch and black strappy high heels. A final look over in the mirror to check out your makeup to find your lipstick could be bolder, a final coat on and you’re out the door walking down the cold wet streets of town to your usual club.

The chilly night was satisfying. Still and absolutely beautiful as you enjoyed your stroll through town. Step by step you began to enter a busy area where women dressed scantily eyeing men in group would giggle as men eyed them like packages of meat.

As a regular, you prefer to go simple. Why dress cheaply to get attention from men? That’s pathetic. There’s a thing called class, and it turns people’s heads wherever you go. As usual, people stared at you, walking like a boss. Men hooting and cat calling while making vulgar remarks about you with their friends. Girls eyeing your outfit either in distaste or jealousy while ing with their friends.

“Dumb ers” you laughed to yourself, a smirk creeping up to your face as you walked on with confidence. Not caring for those lowlifes and their stupidity to mess with you, despite a er’s persistence to get a reaction.

As soon as you come around to the club the bouncer noticed you from afar and opened up a passage between the crowds of people waiting for entry. “You’re here madam, your space has been vacated” the tall built man informed you.

“Vacated” you began airily while looking at your manicured nails, the man in front of you shivered. “My space shouldn’t be touched at all” you finished smoothly. His eyes quivered. As a valuable customer, upsetting you would get him into a lot of trouble.

“There have been some misunderstandings before your arrival madam” a smart looking Manager Moon walked up towards you. “It’s all sorted for now”

“Remind me why my brother leaves you as manager again Jongup” you airily remarked as you walked past him while he glowered.

“If you went into the family business you’d still have a share” the rose head bit back hot on your heels.

“Why work when I can play on my own.” You sighed. Words lost in the loud blaring music of the club. “Get back to work” you called out to him before turning towards the dancefloor for a while. The high

The music booming reminds you of your purpose for coming to the club and you head down to the dance floor. Making your way in past the crowd and onto dancefloor, hot air and sweaty bodies only adding to the club tension as the beat starts swaying your hips and working your body into an unfamiliar rhythm, getting into the groove as the DJ excites and heightens the tension with his beats.

Things were different.

The beats were deeper, lasted longer, ed longer and overall were just different. Looking ahead to see who the DJ was, you didn’t recognise him, but you saw a tall boy and a handsome men him too. Curiously you watched on as the man stepped back with a gummy smile pointed to the handsome man as the boy laughed.

Who was this man? His beats were deeper that what you’re used to, but you liked it.

This was a good change.

Change is never good.

But tonight was the only exception
