Semi - 22 years old. A cold-blooded knife-wielding professional killer. He has a weird of watching clams bubbling in water, therefore every time after his job, he will buy clams and watch them bubble in water, as it would remind him how the clams are breathing to survive while he has forgotten what is the meaning of living. He has no hard feelings against killing all his targets till he met Nana, who is the only one he can’t land his blade on.

Nana - 22 years old. A girl who was sold by her parents when she was twelve years old, to a man who wanted her as a slave. For the past ten years, she was confined by the man in his apartment, and tortured by him continuously yet living her alive. Soon after Semi met her, he gave her a nickname, Shijimi, which means clams.

Iwanishi - 45 years old. An underground agent who receives killing orders for Semi to execute. He is also Semi’s only friend.

Keito - 28 years old. A doctor who is Iwanishi’s friend. Happened to be Nana’s childhood friend and has been in love with her since young.
