TWO-SHOT (is that even a thing?)

“Good morning!”

Jongin is sure that if he hates something in his life, it's Baekhyun getting in his room without knocking and screaming like his normal voice tone isn’t high enough.

“Get out,” Jongin yawns and refuses to open his eyes, hands gripping the sheets knowing Baekhyun will try to take them away from him.

And he does try, just after sitting at the end of the bed.

“Come on,” the brunette demands pulling the covers, “We are going to check out tuxedos today.”

Jongin isn’t fully awake and it takes him a moment to realize what his insistent best friend is talking about. Prom.

“I´m not going to prom,” he says lazily rubbing his eyes. Weeks ago he was excited about it, but that was until his one-year crush/friend Oh Sehun asked someone else to prom.

It’s not that Jongin still feels heartbroken, or maybe just a bit, but prom is in one week and the chances he finds a partner now are lower than Baekhyun’s height. Of course, as stubborn as he is, he had to spent weeks in denial not wanting to invite anyone else and he is out of options already. But he will live with that, there are more parties to come and staying home is way better than going to prom alone.

“The said what?” Baekhyun asks and finally takes the blankets away. Jongin should have known he wouldn’t go anywhere by now.

“I don’t have anyone to ask.”

“Jongin, you are kind of a hermit with a smaller circle of friends than ing Joonmyeon but believe me, at least there are five people out there that would be glad to be your prom date…or at least one.” Baekhyun pats his leg with a smile that always brings bad memories to Jongin. “And hey, if you don’t find anyone, and I´m not saying you won’t, you can always go with me and Chanyeol… but after 11 pm you better get lost because that night I’m getting the big boy,” he winks, a -eating grin on his face that Jongin would love to wash away.

Only he, being a peaceful person, has no choice but to regret his awful choice of friends and hide his face under a pillow.

“You are disgusting.”

“Oh yes, and I can go all day talking about it or we can go outside and buy a tuxedo. I know a pretty nice place to get one. When Sehun looks at you in one of those, he will regret taking Luhan to prom.”

Jongin grunts but his friend doesn’t get the message he needs to stop and keeps rubbing his leg. He is over Sehun; he likes to think that. It takes an enormous willpower since Sehun is in almost all his classes and at his lunch table; so Baekhyun bringing back the topic every now and then doesn’t help, not even a bit.

“Or maybe not, Luhan is really good looking. Have you seen his eyelashes? They are really long and thick… like Chanyeol’s must be.”

Jongin sits brusquely and covers Baekhyun’s mouth with his hand to shut him up, “I will go with you if you stop talking about Sehun, Luhan and Chanyeol, please.”

The brunette nods and his eyes crinkle when he smiles. Like the spawn of Satan he is.
