I was standing in front of the room’s entrance. “Come! We should do proper introductions.”
I couldn’t see him. He was standing in the dark side of the room. He walked towards the desk, grabbed a pen and started writing down.
“What are you doing?” I turned my head to the right and saw the switch light. I was about to turn the lights on. Suddenly, he grabbed my arm, I quickly turned my head to look at him. Before I could see him, all the lights went off; the ball was starting again.
“Who are you?” I asked. I was starting to regret what I did. “How was I capable of doing this with a complete stranger?”
He didn’t reply. He handed me a card and let go of my arm. I felt how he passed by my side. I couldn’t see anything, so I waited… During the next exchange of partners, I found the front door. I was walking down the stairs. I looked at the card he handed me.
“Tomorrow 11:00 PM. Hotel La Reserve room 407.”
I giggled. “He is so full of himself!” I shook my head in disbelief. “Does he really think that I’ll meet him again after he ran away from me without letting me know who he was?” It was a cold night, I embraced myself to warm up my arms. “I’m crazy! Just a crazy woman would’ve done what I did!” I looked towards the sky. “It’s all his fault! I miss him so much that I just had a one-night stand with a stranger. But it was like been with him… his hands, his kisses…” I took a deep breath. “In the end it wasn’t him.”
It’s 10:50 PM of the next day. I was trying to get out of my head the appointment I was supposed to have that night. I looked towards the window. “No! You’re not going. Stop thinking about it.” I started remembering, his hands on my thighs, on my s, on my hips… his lips on my shoulders, on my skin, on my lips… his tongue touching mine. I sighed. My heart started speeding just by thinking of it… of being his, again. Of he making me feel what just Ji Yong could make me feel. “What if it was Ji Yong?” I had my eyes wide-opened. I grabbed my phone and googled him. According to Osen, he’s still in Japan. “Of course it’s not him!”
Now that I was sure that I spent the night with a different man, I was leaning more on the idea of meeting him again. I stood up and started walking back and forth, I looked at the clock on the wall. 10:59PM. I took a deep breath, grabbed a hoodie and headed to La Reserve.
I doubted many times. I doubted after I exited the front door of the building, after I entered the hotel, after I got inside the elevator, after I walked through the hallway… I was still doubting as I was standing in front of the room 407. I raised my fist so I could knock on the door, before I could I do it. I stopped myself. “Walk away Emi.”
I was about to walk away when the door opened and someone pulled me inside. The room was pitch-black. Before I could say anything, he kissed me. The way he grabbed my lips in between his, of moving his tongue inside my mouth, made me forget about everything. I even didn’t feel the need of asking questions. I just wanted him.
The next day, I woke up. “Hello?” I looked towards the empty left side of the bed. He left another card on the pillow.
“Tonight, 11:00 PM. Shangri-La Hotel, Room 508.”
I shook my head. “What the heck I’m doing?”
For some reason, I wasn’t ashamed of what I was doing. I’m not doing anything wrong. I’m just exploring my uality. I’m sure that if anyone learns about this, they will judge me. Because we live in a world where men are praise if they spend every night with a different woman; but if a woman does it, she’s judge by it. To be honest, I don’t care. I want him, I don’t care if I never learn who he is, I just need him for my own pleasure.
I’ve spent two more nights with masked man. I still don’t know who he is. I’m meeting him tonight… again. I don’t know when this will stop, but after so many months I finally feel some kind of completeness. I may not have the man I love, but through masked man, I can feel him.
“Sajangnim, should we return to Tokyo?” Ari asked. She was standing up next to my chair.
“Not yet.” I said while still looking at my laptop. I could feel her staring at me.
My phone was ringing. “Hello?” I answered.
“Where are you?” Gahee asked.
“In the hotel.”
“Did you thought about what we talked yesterday?”
“Yes, I’ll do it.”
I told Gahee about masked man. She’s not judging me, but she says I should speak with him and know at least who he is. I know she’s right.
Gahee sighed relieved. “Good… Now, did you start taking the pills?”
I stared at Ari. “Can you please ask for our lunch?”
“Yeh, sajangnim.” She walked towards the living area and grabbed the phone.
“Yes I did.” I whispered. I haven’t been using any kind of contraception… After the last night, I spent with Ji Yong more than a year ago, I didn’t have any kind of encounters with anyone else… So, I didn’t need it, until now.
Time flew by, how was I going to confront the man I’ve been sleeping with these past nights?
I was feeling very anxious. I took a deep breath and opened the door of the hotel room. I was surprised, this time the room was lighted up. He hugged me from behind. I wanted to turn my head, but I didn’t. I was scared to learn his identity.
“Emi…” He said. I flinched. I quickly pulled out of his hug and looked at him. I was stunned.
“You?” I was hyperventilating. “It’s him!” He smiled, warmly.
I was so overwhelmed; I didn’t know how to feel; I didn’t know how to react.
After of couple of minutes of seeing him and realizing it was really him, I was feeling ashamed and very angry. I started walking to the front door. He grabbed my hand, I pulled out of his grip and I slapped him, so hard that the sound echoed in the whole room. He looked at me shocked.
“So, I’m your toy? A toy you can pick-up and throw away when you’re bored?” My tears started to fall. “I never thought I would feel this for you… but after this... I hate you.”
“Emi...” His eyes started to move very fast.
“HUSH!” I exclaimed, enraged. “I don’t want to hear you. Who was it this time? Did Lee BoNa threatened you to destroy your company? Did your CEO made you do this for Big Bang’s sake? WHAT WAS IT THIS TIME?” I shouted. I felt so hurt.
He looked down. “No one. But you don’t understand…”
I chuckled, my tears were still pouring out. “The first time maybe was a mistake, but that very day you learned who I was. What about the rest of the nights?” He didn’t say anything. “What a good laugh you probably had. Here it comes the stupid girl that falls into your arms so easily!” I laughed out loud.
“Save it, I don’t want to hear you or see you again.” I walked to the front door. “You know what? Forget that.” I turned to look at him. “I will see you again, from now on my mission will be to destroy you.” I smirked, he was staring at me with his eyes wide-opened. “This is what you wanted? You got it. You and I are at war now.” I left the room.
That night I cried myself to sleep. After all what we’ve been through, after all that’s happened between the both of us… I can’t believe he would do this, play with my heart once again. I hate him, I think I really hate him now. I want him to suffer and to pay for what he has done to me.
Two weeks after Paris, I was in Seoul; I’m not scared of meeting him again. I’m not hiding anymore, not that I was hiding in the past. I decided to return to Korea and fulfill my new goal: destroying him.
My first attack was releasing rumors of he dating his label mate, Dara. Sadly, that died quickly. My second attack was on his company: Peaceminusone. I made his website crash for two days. Besides the monetary loss I can’t do too much with it since it’s a small company. My third attack started last week, I’m buying YGE’s shares. My goal: a hostile takeover. Since this is something that requires time, I’m now focusing on my fourth attack.
“So what? They were seeing together in an amusement park.” I said while looking at the pictures of him with a group of friends.
“Sajangnim, don’t you see?” Ari asked. “Sullissi and GaInssi are in relationships. As far as we know, Goo Harassi is single.”
I laughed. “I think this is ridiculous!”
Ari smirked. “What is it?” I asked.
“Maybe you don’t want it to be true. Maybe you’re jealous.” Ari said.
I gasped. “Of course not! You know what? Release the rumor!” I exclaimed and grabbed my things to head home.
After having dinner in my apartment with Gahee, we were sitting in the balcony looking at the night sky. “So, what’s your next move?” She asked.
I took a deep breath. “I don’t know.”
“You know you’re playing with the wrong cards, right?”
I stared at her. “Why?”
She chuckled. “Do you think Ji Yong cares about losing money or dating rumors? Do you really don’t know him?”
“Then what should I do?” I was totally confused.
She exhaled from her nose and smirked. “Hit him where it hurts. You, you’re the best playing card.”
I frowned and shook my head. “He doesn’t care about me.”
“Trust me on this. Flirt with other men in front of him and let’s see if that doesn’t drive him crazy. Or if you really want to destroy him, appear with Soo Hyunie in front of him.”
“Forget it! That would mean hurting Soo Hyun Oppa again.”
“Then use the first option and let’s see how he handles it.” She sipped some wine.
The next day I went to Vogue Korea’s party. I was so nervous. I really don’t know how to flirt, but I wanted to test Gahee’s option. I was wearing a little red Valentino dress with a back cleavage. I had a glass of champagne in my hand which I haven’t taste.
“CEO Haro.” He said. I sipped the champagne and swallowed hard trying to get the courage of turning around.
“Mr. G-Dragon.” I said. He looked at me from head to toes with lust.
“What are you doing in my territory?” He mockingly asked.
“As far as I know this is free land.” I sipped more champagne.
“Do you want to rattle me with your presence?” He leaned towards me.
I smirked. “I know you’re not rattle by anything.”
He nodded. “You know me well. Oh! By the way, stop the attacks. I know it was you who released the rumors, if you keep attacking me, I’ll have to counter-attack.”
“Good luck with that.” I whispered and walked away. “How the hell was I able to do that?” I was very shaken. My hands were trembling. Suddenly, I heard: “CEO Haro?” I looked at him. “It’s so nice to meet you in person.” He said.
I smiled brightly. “Park Bo Gumssi! I’m a fan!” I exclaimed. Which is true I’m really a big fan. I stayed there, speaking with Bo Gum for a long time. Ji Yong was constantly staring toward us. I was laughing and shyly touching his shoulder now and then.
“Would you like more champagne?” Bo Gum asked. I nodded and smiled. He went looking for it.
“Don’t you think he’s a little bit too young for you?” Ji Yong asked.
“Why? Is age gap a matter when you only want to spend the night with someone?” I asked back while smirking.
He was clenching his jaw. “Stop this or this will end badly.” He said and took a deep breath.
“You’re the expert of dating younger women. Tell me…”
“Oh! Hyung, how are you?” Bo Gum greeted him. Ji Yong slightly smiled. Bo Gum handed me the champagne.
“Bo Gumie, come! I want to introduce you to Soo Joo Noona, she’s a big fan.” He placed his arm around Bo Gum’s shoulder. “Please, excuse us.”
“I’ll be back Emiliassi.” Bo Gum said. Ji Yong looked at me and they walked away.
“!” I thought.
I was now standing by myself, which made me feel very uncomfortable. Then, I saw Jung Woo Sung. I was star-struck. I haven’t seen him before. He’s so freaking handsome! My heart started beating very fast. Before I knew it, I was standing in front of him. He smiled as we locked eyes. “Hello, I- I’m a big fan!” I stuttered.
“Emi! How are you?” Choi Si Won asked. We greeted each other.
“Hyung, do you know Emilia Haro?” He asked Woo Sung.
“Of course I do. Who wouldn’t know a beauty like her.” He winked.
I nervously laughed. I was talking with him non-stop. It’s like if everything else had vanish.
“Do you want to get out of here?” He seductively asked. I nodded, immediately. As we exit the party, I locked eyes with Ji Yong, he looked very angry.
We were walking through a hallway towards the back door. He had his hand on my lower back.
“Honey!” Someone exclaimed. We both looked at him.
“Jung Woo Sungssi!” Ji Yong exclaimed, surprised. “It’s a pleasure to meet such a legend like you.” He bowed.
Woo Sung bowed his head. “Sweetie, where are you heading?” Ji Yong grabbed my hand and pulled me towards him. “Do you want to leave?” He asked while fondling my cheek. I was so stunned that I remained silent. He then turned his attention to Woo Sung. “I think you’ve met my wife.” He smiled.
I looked at Ji Yong and then at Woo Sung, totally shocked.
“You two are married?” He asked while pointing the both of us.
Ji Yong smiled and nodded. “We’ve been married for more than a year now.”
“Congratulations!” He looked at his watch. “I need to leave. It was nice meeting the both of you.” He said and walked away.
I took a couple of steps in his direction. “But… but… but…” I stared at Ji Yong. “What the heck do you think you’re doing?” I asked, totally annoyed.
He wasn’t happy either. He walked towards me. “It’s humiliating that you’re having a fling with your ex-boyfriend. Do I have to allow you to have another affair with another man?”
I frowned. “You’re nuts. Soo Hyun Oppa and I are not together!” I laughed. “You’re allowed to keep going on, after what you did to me, but God forbids that I want to move on, like you did.” I started walking away. “You’re a coward!” I exclaimed.
“What?” He asked and followed me.
I laughed again. “You even dared to say that we’re married, when you know we’re not married anymore.”
He grabbed my arm. “What the heck are you talking about?”
“Stop playing dumb! You asked for an annulment.”
He was astonished, he shook his head. “Stop lying! I didn’t send you anything!” I froze. He grabbed me by the waist and pulled me towards him. “I don't care whether you like it or not... you’re still mine, you’re still my woman!”
