Description
At age 4, Youngmi's parents had gotten into a car accident and didn't survive. Her brother had to raise her by himself, but he always managed to keep a smile on his face. At age 11, Youngmi attended a public school where she was constantly bullied. She started becoming depressed and anxious, and resorted to self-harm to numb the pain. And now, at age 15, she is attending a new school, KSHS, where she can finally be herself again. (Book One of Mishap Series)
Foreword
A scream echoed throughout the hallways of the Choi household, and Youngmi awoke immediately. She wasn't exactly sure if she was the one who had screamed. Thankfully, her brother wasn't home. He was at a friend's house and wouldn't be home by tomorrow morning.
Youngmi wiped the beads of sweat forming on her forehead. She reached for her phone and was instantly blinded when she turned it on. Letting her eyes adjust to the light, she unlocked the phone and scrolled through her messages.
1 Message - Bro
Hey. Junior's sister is sick so I'm coming home early. How are you?
Youngmi sighed and quickly sent a reply to him.
Youngmi -
I'm good, I guess. Sorry you couldn't stay at Junior's house the whole night.
Ping.
Bro -
Nah, It's good. Junior can be a bit annoying anyways.
She laughed at his response and set her phone down, stretched and crawled back underneath the covers.
Now if only I could get some sleep.
