Escape

Description

All things must come to an end.

Foreword

Okay, so. I've never entered a writing contest for one thousand different reasons but the main reason is that the deadlines make me sweat. I know it's there, staring at me, and it stresses me out. THE RABBIT HOLE competition is a weekly competition (thus it frustrates me even more) but because it's weekly, it also means that the one-shots are meant to be shorter. And somehow the words "challenge yourself" said in one way or another really got to me this time.

So I decided to enter. And this has been a rollercoaster of feelings but it has worked as a good distraction at times too. It's not perfect but I made it on time and that is huge for me. I did it, I tried. Yay. But really, I would have chickened out a few times already if it wasn't for my friend, JayMor, who is also taking part in this competition. Having her there with me makes it seem less scary and all, not to mention her mental support that I'd die without. I can be a bit hard, I know.

I used the first prompt "When you compare the sorrows of real life to the pleasures of the imaginary one, you will never want to live again, only dream forever." It's a quote from The Count of Monte Cristo. I'm not sure how loosely this is connected but I was inspired to create this from that very quote so there must be something. Read and see, I guess.

Enough of my babbling. What you really want to hear is enjoy, so there you go: Enjoy!

Chapter 1: In my quest to find a Taeyeon fic I found this one and I'm glad I did.
To be under so much pressure in the real world that you create a better fantasy world in your head is something I can relate to, so I was glad (and sad) to read this story.
Thanks for sharing!
