Looking for a better life, widow mother Rikona tries to convince her only daughter Sana, to leave their home village in Japan. They move to Seoul, Korea, and Sana is able to enroll at the same private college as where Ara (her mother's close friend) works as the principal. Moving to a new big city and a new school is found to be very challenging for Sana - and she finds herself getting into a fight against the school owner's son, Taehyung. Sana was brought up without a father and was told by her mother that her father was lost as a member of the navy during one of his missions at sea. All Sana has as a memory of his father is a photo that she takes everywhere with her. Her biggest dream is to one day meet her father and she is determined to not stop looking for him, even after moving to Korea. Meanwhile, she struggles to get use to her new life due to obstacles caused by Taehyung and his other "bully" friends. Along the way she makes some close friends and also finds herself in a sticky love situation. But will she be able to survive her new life?
