The living who stopped walking

Description

In an apocalyptic wasteland of rotting corpses roaming dead streets and traffic-jammed highways, Sehun picks up random people in his Ford Mustang and plays the knight in shining armour for his boyfriend's ex, Chanyeol and Baekhyun go on a road trip with an ice cream truck, and Kyungsoo and Jongin find love in a hopeless place. Ah, and no one seems to care about Junmyeon who probably dropped dead somewhere in an empty hallway.

Foreword

Warnings: 

 - ​Poorly written in part two (kind of)

 ​- Language, probably. (meaning i mention the f-word a lot, lmao)

- Zombie!AU so zombies. Don't expect much gore and graphic rotting flesh descriptions, the zombies are there just to create the desperate post-apocalyptic atmosphere and to sprinke angst and doomed love on top for extra flavour.

- Well, probably some mentions of violence, like stepping on a zombie cop's skull and cracking it open? Uh.
- Main character death. Okay, that's a spoiler??? How can i warn you guys about my characters dying if that's triggering content without actually giving you spoilers??
- Overall bad writing. And a lot of unnesseccary bragging. I just like to write and stuff usually turns out longer than i expected, i can't really help it ​
- Singer!Soo, Dancer!Kai, Top!Soo? i noticed other authors using these warnings, idek why so i'm using them too.

This is my first story on AFF and my first KaiSoo fiction ever (well, except for the one that i wrote last summer and so much i didn't dare posting it anywhere) so i expect you guys won't be too hard on me for my pretentious, unexperienced writing, and ty angsty plot. Chapter 2: I really, really, with words, English is not my mother language neither, and it's even harder when I've just finished reading this and I'm feeling so overwhelmed, but I needed to say how (painfully) beautiful was your work. Your narration, your analogies, your way of conveying a lot of the reality of our world ... I mean, this made me think a lot of how I'm living you know? And how you put your characters, all of them are really memorable and relatable, and I'm not saying even half of all the things you made me feel with this work, but, hey, I'm trying...

This is one of my favourite fanfics... I swear, I'll have it in my heart for as long as my brain can sustain my rational thinking and memory. I'm so glad you chose that way to end the story, somehow it seemed as a happy ending, knowing they have another story going on somewhere, in their minds.
