Lee Jieun, or IU, has lived her whole life being picked on and bullied.  As a nerd, she's had a hard, lonely life, but that's not the only pain she's faced.  2 years ago, her parents died in a tragic car accident.  After their death, she lived alone and has had to fend for herself.  IU lives by herself in an apartment which she pays for by tutoring children and working as a waitress at a nearby cafe.  Although she's not actually some kind of weirdo, people avoid her.  She hides her true, bright personality behind her glasses and feels awkward talking to the people in her school who all seem to ignore her existence.  

Yang Yoseob is a delinquent.  He deliberately doesn't do his homework or pay attention in class.  Like IU, he doesn't have any parents.  His mother left when he was 6 and his father died shortly after. Yoseob's father had died a heartbroken man in a mysterious fire.  However, he has a guardian: his father's brother who is a busy businessman and is constantly traveling.  But when this uncle comes home, he tends to abuse Yoseob.  

Lee Kikwang is Yoseob's friend.  Even though they're complete opposites, they're very close and have a brother-like bond.  Kikwang is smart, cool, and well-liked by his fellow classmates.  He's charismatic and attracts the attention of many girls.  His life is basically perfect except for the fact that the ONE GIRL he loves, doesn't even LIKE him back.  

Jeon Hyosung is a cheerful girl.  She would be popular except she cares too much about grades.  Every day, she comes to school with huge spectacles on.  She doesn't actually need glasses, but she enjoys the feel of being able to study hard and be smart.  She doesn't enjoy wearing girly things and doesn't much about her appearance because people pick on her anyways for her protruding gums.  She especially hates the popular people who try to "play around" with her.  Since she despises the fact that people look upon others depending on their appearance, she dislikes those popular people.

Storyline

Lee Ji Eun, the school's biggest nerd is assigned as the project partner of Yang Yoseob, the guy who can make girls scream with pleasure and the guy who makes teachers scream with frustration due to his rude attitude.  So when one of them starts to get feelings for the other... what happens?
