~ Sequel to Sponteneity ~
Mark x Mijoo

Foreword

"But..but.....Yeoboooo~" Mijoo whined to Mark in the middle of the grocery store's aisle grabbing onto his sleeve and fidgeting around like a little girl.

"But..but...yeobo, wae?? I said no, Mijoo, we can not get 4 cartons of ice cream." Mark mocked Mijoo.

"Hmph....OH! What about--"

"OR 5 bags of chips."

"Awe! Not even--"

"And absolutely, under no circumstances, should we get the whole aisle of breads."

Mijoo pouted and just held onto his arm like a child and dragged her feet with every step. She stuck her lower lip out and flashed Mark her puppy dog eyes. With being 4 months into her pregnancy, Mijoo craved everything. You name it, she wanted it-- ice cream, cookies, tteokbokki, jajangmyeon...

"I'm not falling for this one this time, babe."

Mijoo continued to pout and just looped her arm with Mark's and moped around Mark, following him like a puppy that got scolded.

They continued to shop with Mark taking the lead. They stopped in the produce section of the market.

"What are we eating for dinner tonight?" After not hearing a respose after a coupld of momets, he called Mijoo's name out.

"...Mijoo?" Mark looked down at Mijoo who obviously wasn't going to reply to him. He knew Mijoo was upset and was giving him the silent treatment, so he came up with a quick  little plan to make her talk to him.

"Alright, if you're not going to reply, I think we're just going to eat..hm..eggplant and tofu? Your aunt did tell me it was a significant dish in your life."

Mijoo's eyes went wide for a second then dialed down to an evil squint, speaking with her eyes that said, 'you wouldn't..Mark mirrored her facial expession, but with a devious smile and spoke back with eyes that said, 'but I would," knowing all too well that eggplant and tofu was a dish she hated. To put it in perspective, if it was the last thing on earth after an apocalypse hit, she wouldn't even touch it.

Mijoo unlatched from Mark's arm and looked at the abandoned cart then back at him. They both shared an intense staredown, but before Mark could grab anything from the produce area, Mijoo darted for the cart and Mark was right behind her. Mijoo was a little too slow and Mark got to it before she did, gaurding the cart before she had a chance to even touch it.

Mijoo was slightly panting once she and Mark were a ruler's length apart from each other. She expressively cursed under her breath, "Damn this pregnant body..You did this to me! It's your fault I didn't get to the cart in time to check out!"

"My fault? How it this my fault?" Mark asked while laughing at Mijoo's silly accusation.

"You know, maybe if you had wore a that night, I wouldn't be pregnant. And because I'm pregnant, I weigh more. Because I weigh more,  it caused me to be slower to get to the cart. You know all too well I would have won if I wasn't under these circmstances."

By the end of Mijoo's exclamation, she was even more out of breath. Mark found it really cute how she was frustrated over a petty competition such as this one which made him laugh again. This girl was competitive. He leaned on the handle of the cart for support as he enjoyed watching his vulnerable Mijoo.

"What are you laughing at?" Mijoo huffed out while crossing her arms across her chest above her swollen stomach. Mark kissed the top of her head and told her to wait in the front inside the small cafe that the market had so she could blow off her steam and Mark could finish shopping. She obliged and Mark watched her walk off until she was out of his sight.

"God, she drives me crazy," was all Mark said to himself before smiling and pushing the cart towards the freezer aisle.

---

On the way home, Mijoo silently sipped her iced tea and avoided conversation with Mark who was trying to talk to her. Once they arrived at their cozy one-story home, they helped each other bring the groceries inside as usual. Mark went to their room to put the keys and Mijoo's purse away while Mijoo was unpacking their items until she suddenly felt something cold in one of the plastic bags. She pulled it out and smiled like an idiot.

"Ya! Pabo! I thought I wasn't going to get to you this time!"

Mark walked in and saw that Mijoo was gesturing to the pint of Cookies and Cream ice cream in her small hand with a smile spread across her face. He walked up to her, grabbed the ice cream out of her hands and propped her up on the counter so that she was now slightly looking down at him. He placed hands on either side of Mijoo's legs initially boxing her in. Her arms went around his neck as if it was instinct.

"How could I resist you if you're..you?" Mark confessed to his one and only wife which made the both of them laugh at his humor.

"Just say 'no.' It's that easy," Mijoo , bringing her face closer towards his. When she was about a couple centimeters away from locking lips with Mark, he pulled back brought a finger to her lips.

"No," he mocked. "You were right, it was easy." Mark winked at Mijoo and put the ice cream in her hand and grabbed her a spoon from the drawer. Mijoo looked dumbfounded and then opened and closed a couple times trying to figure out how to present her feelings of frustration towards Mark's actions.

"Y-ya-- I can't believe you're--"

" 'The most handsome man that's ever walked in your life and thank you so much for spoiling me?' Awe thanks babe, you really shouldn't say these things, I'm embarrassed."

Mijoo's dumbfounded face showed again. She hopped off the countertop and started waddling her pregnant body away from the kitchen leaving Mark to deal with the groceries. Before walking away with her ice cream and metal spoon, she stuck her tongue out at Mark who just kept laughing at how good it felt to shut her up.

"When are you going to stop being such a child, babe?"

"Once you stop treating me like one."

Chapter 5: Ahaa, just what is Mark planning? I'm sure it's nothing bad and maybe it's just a simple misunderstanding. Well, Mark does seem like the best husband there is lol. About Mijoo's pregnancy, I really hope there's nothing wrong with it. She's still so young, so I think the chance of having an abnormal baby is fairly low. But if they're destined to have one, then I hope they can be strong. I think she should just go with the procedure. I mean technology nowadays can reduce the risk, right? Anyway, thanks so much for the update. Looking forward to more. Fighting! ^^.
