When I was younger, my teacher once said, "You get what you get and you can't throw a fit." Being in the second grade, I did not understand what she had meant. "Appreciate what you have and what comes your way because others have it worse," she'd say. I realized that things happened for a reason and learned that there was no, "I don't know" for an excuse. Being that I've met one particular person in my life that has been a major cause in my, I now know the bigger picture of what my teacher was trying to show me.
