Xia has never really fitted in anywhere, being pushed and pulled in every direction all her life, she just wants to feel like she belongs someone and somewhere.

A chance encounter with a young boy named Tao changes Xia's life, but is it really for the better?

Tao isn't an ordinary human, he is a Ghoul...one of the monsters that are feared by everyone in the city...but this doesn't seem to matter to her. 

She still sees his human side and wants to be friends with Tao, and perhaps more? He makes her once boring life so much more interesting and exciting.

Where Tao isn't an ordinary human, he's not an ordinary Ghoul either. He doesn't want to kill or hurt humans and that makes him an outcast in both worlds and perhaps this is why Xia feels so drawn to him.

But of course there are those that try and stop them.

Will they be able to overcome their differences? Or will both their worlds be ripped apart?
