Description

 

For one year and ongoing, the rural seaside village of Dali has suffered through the harshest drought it has ever experienced since its founding. Famine, disease, and violence ravage the small village, and its already sparse population dwindles toward a grim end. When repeated rites and prayers fail to yield even a single drop of water, the desperate villagers turn to the ultimate ritual in a final attempt for salvation: the sacrifice of a young, al maiden to appease the Dragon King.

Bona voluntarily offers herself as the sacrifice.

Chapter 1: Man, the beginning gave me such creepy vibes. And lol hopefully the Dragon King isn't too invested in this supposed marriage arrangement cause judging by the tags it isn't gonna turn out like that :P

Chapter 1: The scene of the entire village suffering was set up with a lot of detail along with the way that the villagers commenced with the sacrifice, that feeling of grateful but more glad that it's not their own lives they have to give up, was very realistic which added really nicely to the overall tone~ Bona must have thought it through a lot before she made her decision to give up her life as the sacrifice, at least the village treated her well before throwing her off into the sea like that >.> Poor Mei Qi though :'/ she couldn't do much to save Bona but there's still a bit of hope since Bona has miraculously survived thanks to Cheng Xiao :D Hopefully Bona's sacrifice won't be in vain… The story is off to an interesting start~ I can't wait to see how it'll develop <3 Thanks for this awesome update! <3<3<3

No matter how long it takes I'll keep waiting for the first chapter, your stories always worth it \o/ Also you're probably the only author who writes BoXiao fics smh
