“Wonwoo Hyung”

“Wonwoo Hyung!”

A 9 years old boy stop from his track before he felt someone bumped onto him from behind. He turned around to see that annoying kid who kept following him around. That annoying kid had this round sparkling eyes and canine teeth. Just if he had tail, for sure it would be swaying to the left and right at the moment. He looked like an excited little puppy… and Wonwoo hates dog.

Wonwoo sighed and crossed his arms, “Stop following me, Kim Mingyu”

“But I want to play with you, Hyung”

Wonwoo eyes then caught the baseball ball on the younger’s hand, “But I don’t want to play that”

The younger lowered his hand which holding the white ball. He then looked up at the slightly taller older boy and asked, “Then what do you want to play?”

The older boy thought for a while before an idea came into his head. He had been wanting to play this, but he never had the gut to ask someone to play with him. This Kim Mingyu would always listen and agree on whatever Wonwoo said, so, why not?

“Let’s play house”

“What?”

Wonwoo then look around and saw the sand box in the middle of the playground. He jogged there and Mingyu followed him behind.

“This will be our house” Wonwoo told the younger and looked around once again to find something. He spotted a small rock near the box and took it.

“This is our daughter”

“Hyung, it is a rock”

“Shut up Kim Mingyu, or I’ll just go back now"

“Oh look! We have a really pretty daughter, should we call her Kim Minah?” Mingyu took their ‘daughter’ from Wonwoo’s hand and hugged it.

“Kim Minah?” Wonwoo rolled his eyes.

“I am the dad Mingyu and you are the mom. She should have my family name. Jeon Minah”

“So I am the wife?”

“Of course. You are shorter and cry a lot. You are the wife!” Wonwoo told the younger.

Mingyu just nodded and agreed on whatever the older told him. Wonwoo was just like 3 cm taller than Mingyu, but oh well… after all Wonwoo was older too.

“I will go to work now, you should be at home and look after the kid. I’ll be back at 7!”

“Eung. Be back home safe, Yeobo” Mingyu copied what his mom always told his dad before he went to work. He waved his hand as he held their ‘daughter’.

Wonwoo walked out of ‘their house’ and went to the swing. He played there for a few minutes before he walked back to the sand box.

“I am home!”

“Oh, Minah look who’s back” Mingyu said and smiled at the older guy before he continued, “I cook you something delicious”

“Really? Waw,, it looks good” Wonwoo said before he scoop the sand and acted to eat it.

After they finished the dinner, they laid on the sand next to each other.

“Let’s sleep. It’s too late”

“Eung”

Wonwoo then closed his eyes but he could felt this strange feeling, a feeling like he was being stared at. He opened his eyes and he was right. Mingyu was looking at him as he smiled from ear to ear.

“What are you looking at?” Wonwoo asked.

“Hyung.. I really want to marry you”

“Are you crazy?” Wonwoo mumbled as he rose up from the sand and patted his back.

“Hyung?”

“You can’t marry me”

“Why?”

“Because I want to marry a girl who can cook, clean the house, listen to what I say and also cute!”

“I can learn how to cook and clean the house hyung! I also listen to you well… and ugh… I think I am cute?” Mingyu was not sure with the last thing and Wonwoo just scoffed. Mingyu was cute indeed, but not the kind of cuteness Wonwoo wanted.

“But you are not a girl”

Mingyu couldn’t hide his hurt expression when he heard that. He looked down and played with his hem of shirt. Wonwoo felt bad for hurting the younger’s feeling. Wonwoo rarely see this kid in front of him this down and sad, he was basically rainbow and sunshine.

Both of Wonwoo and Mingyu parents actually taught them that they could love whoever they want whether it is a boy or girl. They were already so open minded about it, but still, the hopeless romantic Jeon Wonwoo still thought the ideal family would be a dad, mom and kids.

Wonwoo sighed and said, “Alright”

Mingyu looked up, quiet confused with what Wonwoo was talking about.

“If you become taller than me, I’ll marry you”

Those spark on the younger eyes finally appeared again and it somehow made Wonwoo relieved.

“Promise?”

“Yeah…” Wonwoo nodded, “but you will be the wife”

Mingyu gave the widest smile and nodded his head, “I’ll be the wife”

That was probably the most face-palming memory Wonwoo ever had in his life. That was also the last time Wonwoo saw the younger boy because Mingyu had to go with his family to America.

It had been 10 years and he couldn’t believe that the younger would be back just because of that strange conversation they had. Wonwoo never knew the younger would be able to grow this tall and still remember that promise. He didn’t know the younger was this serious.

But Wonwoo didn’t think he could make those crazy childhood promise became real, no, especially not after Kim Mingyu became this tall and manlier than the lanky Jeon Wonwoo.

Because if they really get married, Wonwoo will be the wife instead for sure.

And Wonwoo won’t let that happen.

I actually wanted to title it 'Jeon Wonwoo thought he is the Seme' but blagh, what kind of title is that, right?

I'm new in writing this... So, don't expect much.. But I promise to give you the best I can give~ hehe English is not my first language either...
