————————————————————————————–

Location: Sehun & Luhan’s House
Time: 9 Years Later, 2033

“Hi Uncle Chan.” “Hi Lì An, how’s my little nephew doing?” Chanyeol greeted as he walked through the front door.  “Fine,” the 10 year-old replied shyly. His personality was so much like Sehun’s but he was a splitting image of Luhan. It both pleased and saddened Chanyeol a little – more for Sehun’s sake than his own.

“Put me down dad!” Hayoon wailed, wiggling in an attempt to get free. Rolling his eyes, Chanyeol put his daughter down and watched her run after Vivi, Sehun and Lì An’s bichon. Even though she was slightly allergic, the four year old was still eager to wrestle with it. She had a very bubbly personality and very seldom stopped talking. Something that Chanyeol sweared she got from Baekhyun and Baekhyun sweared she got it from Chanyeol.

“Is Jia here?” Lì An asked curiously. Chanyeol could tell that he was trying very hard to act casual and offered him a smile, “Yes, she’s helping Baekhyun with Dohyun. She’ll be in, in a minute. Is your dad in the game room?” Lì An nodded. Sehun was quietly sitting on the floor playing a video game when Chanyeol opened the door. “Hi,” he said softly. “Hi,” Sehun replied dryly after pausing the game. Chanyeol walked in and sat down next to Sehun, “Did you get to go today?” Sehun nodded, staring down at the floor, “We went this morning. Sat and talked to him for a while.”

Sehun swallowed thickly, “I can’t believe it’s been seven years.” Sehun glanced up at Chanyeol with tears starting to form, “Seven years, today, since I lost him.” “I know,” Chanyeol said softly. “I miss him so much it physically hurts,” Sehun sniffed. “I miss him too. Very much,” Chanyeol soothed. “Did you and Baekhyun get to go yet?” Sehun asked. Chanyeol nodded sadly, “We went last night while we had a babysitter. Suho said they were going to stop by on their way here.”

“Babe?” Baekhyun called out from the hallway. “In here!” Chanyeol shouted back. A few moments later Baekhyun poked his head around the door with Dohyun in his arms. “There you two are, hi,” he greeted softly, walking over to offer Sehun a side hug. “Hi,” Sehun smiled, reaching up to pinch the two year old’s cheek, “Hi little man. Are you going to come give your Uncle Sehun a hug?” Dohyun started bouncing in Baekhyun’s arms as he handed him off to Sehun, setting the kid on his lap.

“Oh that reminds me,” Chanyeol said suddenly, “Sehun, we need to have a serious discussion about Lì An’s infatuation with our daughter.” Sehun’s mouth twitched in amusement. “I want to know what your son’s intentions are,” Chanyeol added. Sehun chuckled softly, “His intentions? He’s only ten Chan. She’s eight. I’m sure the only thing on his mind is setting up a fort in the living room or discussing their homework over a romantic cup of banana milk.”

Baekhyun raised an eyebrow, “Lì An likes Jia?” Jia had a dynamic relationship with all of the junior EXO boys. Junseo was like her older brother who protected her whereas Woojin was like her younger brother whom she had to protect just like she now did with Dohyun. And Shiwoo – well – Shiwoo was her rival. Baekhyun had stopped counting how many times he had to separate the two from slapping each other around. They were always picking on each other, trying to rile each other up. Lì An was unfortunately the odd one but somehow he managed to be Jia’s best friend. Baekhyun never understood how that came to be but now it made sense.

“Don’t even think about it Park Baekhyun,” Chanyeol ordered. Baekhyun laughed and sunk to the floor, nuzzling up to Chanyeol’s shoulder and teasing, “Don’t be mad at me just because you can’t deal with your oldest daughter growing up.” Chanyeol wrinkled his nose, settling his hand on Baekhyun’s hip, “Mock me all you want. But I don’t want to hear a single peep when she starts wearing crop shorts or worse – she starts dragging us to the arena so she can spend three hours in a long line of screaming fangirls to get her front row seat at some concert for the newest K-POP idol group.”

Baekhyun smiled sweetly, “You’re still an idol in my eyes,” he said as he leaned up to kiss Chanyeol. “GET OFF!” Jia suddenly screamed, “DAD!!” “Kim Shiwoo! Get off of her right now!” Jiyeon shouted from the living room, “For once can you please just control yourself!” Baekhyun and Chanyeol drew apart and sighed, “Guess that means Suho is here,” Baekhyun chuckled.

“Are you going or me?” Baekhyun asked, “You,” Chanyeol replied, “last time I said something I made Shiwoo cry.” “You heartless man,” Baekhyun teased, “Fine. Come on little man” Baekhyun said as he stood up and reached for Dohyun. Chanyeol watched them leave fondly before turning back to Sehun, “Are you sure you’re ready for this?”

Sehun nodded, “We’ve waited long enough.”

Chapter 27: The emotions this fanfic was able to portray was definitely great. Although I love EXO, I never been much enamored of any of the ships.. However this one gave me a whole new perspective and respect for the LGBT community. I did wonder where the other characters disappeared to...but all in all, I like this story and recommend everyone read it.

I hate to be that one person, but even though it is written professionally, I feel like the story itself could be better. (Please don't take offense to my comment, it is only my opinion and if you don't agree with it, it's okay! We're all different here.) Sadly, I had to skip to the end because at first when I started reading, I will admit that I was hooked. It seemed realistic. Chanyeol working himself to a health issue and ending up in a serious situation. It seemed like it would be a great story and I spent around 2-3 days reading ,(Was a little busy inbetween so I couldn't do it all in one sitting) but was displeased with the chain of events such as tragedy after tragedy. It seemed too overwhelming to have the coma, the second collapse, the , the car crash, the baby mama issue, the cancer, the suicide. It seemed so tragic to fit into one story. I also dislike that half of the members just disappeared like that. At least let us know how or why they left. Have them send a letter, face time, or meet up to look back at old times. I feel like you kicked the other members out to give the spotlight to the incoming children. While I feel like the members that were in critical accidents should've died, the only lead up I do find realistic is Sehun committing suicide after being without his beloved Luhan. It was sort of a turn down when Chanyeol and Baekhyun grew old together and lived happily ever after, but hey! I did mention there were things I liked! I enjoyed the amount of time it took Chanyeol and Baekhyun to confess, and some of their relationship struggles. I also favored the small segments that added onto the story, like Suho's flashbacks. But please do not take offense to this! Honestly, people write differently and I give you my thanks for taking the time to write this. A lot of people enjoy this story! Thanks for reading if you made it this far!

Chapter 30: Wow
I don't know what to say...
I don't like reading "real life" related stories (the fact that they're EXO -real idols- ,SM , stuff like that) but I really wanted to read a long chapter fanfic. I enjoyed a lot from this one, it's very well written, the connection with other characters was perfect and the way you describe their feelings is beautiful. I would like to talk about some special things that I liked or things that made me feel something special/different, but that would include spoiler and I want other people to get to that part and enjoy it the same way I did. So I will just say that you made me feel sad, happy, worried and lots of other emotions, so thank you for this amazing story.

Chapter 27: Tbh, I skipped to the last part and I kinda expected a happy endinh bcs I really hate someone dying in a story. But this, it made me realize again that not everything is abt happy ending. that life is also full of ups and downs and not knowing as to what would happen in the future. In just this one chapter, you made me realize that and I cried a fit bcs I thought of EXO. Since 0T12 era, i've been there to support themand while reading this, i cant help but remember all those happy times and then visualize the future with them growing old.. I havent read the whole story yet and it feels like I've read it already bcs of the feelings that this chapter gives out. And by this story, I guess I could start reading angst story again bcs I know I would learn so much from them. Thankyou for writing down this story, author-nim. ^…^
