Seulgi is just doing her thing, hitting her moves while making sure she keeps in sync with her crew by looking at the mirror. Everyone squats down and it's her solo, she does a jump and a twirl in midair, and it's supposed to end like every other time when she does this, landing faultlessly on the ground and fading back into formation but her foot connects with the ground and she knows it. It doesn't end like any other time because her foot is angled at an awkward angle as it meets the ground, and immediately feels the pain shooting up her whole left foot.

She hides it well till the end of the performance, everyone heaving and panting as they hold the final position. Joohyun starts moving and that’s the cue that it's okay to move, Yerim and Sooyoung immediately running towards their bottles. Seulgi wants to do that too, but it's hurting too much for her to even walk. She safely makes her way towards them, with no suspicions raised. Seems like her usual slowness has its perks.

They continue with practice and with every growing second Seulgi just wants to hug her leg and bawl her eyes out on the floor. Finally, the long awaited end is signaled as Joohyun calls it a day and she watches as the three make their way towards the snack parlor, Seulgi deciding to give it a miss because she doesn't think she can hide her injury from them if she goes and she can't walk any longer. She barely makes it back to her dorm, crashing onto the bed, not caring if she is sweaty and gross. She pulls up her sweatpants and sees a slightly swollen ankle. It hurts a little when she puts pressure on it, but it looks minor enough to Seulgi for her to brush it off.

Big mistake.
