His run of passing thoughts were stopped seeing Kibum for the very first time troubled and in under a lot of stress that automatically…

“Kibum-ssi… What happened…?”
Saying….

Kibum does not respond instead steps sideways and shows Taemin’s body in IVs and hose.

Onew suddenly becomes speechless of seconds, unable to move any single part of his body except his eyes staring at Taemin in a total disbelief and confusion after several seconds – by some means manage to utter…

“Taemin… why are you…
what happened to you…How…?

Few words he could utter moves swiftly towards Kibum offering him a deep hug not questioning. Though clouded with overwhelming troubling emotions, Onew after releasing his embrace with Kibum immediately walks towards Taemin’s lying body and says…

“Taemin… You can make it…please do it…
you are not alone…”

Kibum not having to wait for Onew’s question says in a soar deep trembling voice…

“Hyu…hyung… Taemin…
He…I saw him lying on the floor with his body covered with blood…”

Onew:             (looking intently at Kibum) Wha…what…?

Kibum:             (hugged Onew) Tae…Taemin…
                        he was lying on his own blood…
                        he cut his wrist… hyung….

Onew:             (gasps) Oh my god…Taemin…

Kibum:             (crying on Onew’s shoulder) I was lucky…
                        I was right on time…

                        (releases from Onew) Hyung…
                        (extends his hands towards Taemin) Please…
 

Onew:             I am so sorry for what happened…
                       (nods) Kibum… please have a rest…
                       I will take care of Taemin… It is my fault…

Kibum:             (shakes his head) No… hyung… it is not your fault…
                        I know Tae’s behaviour… He is very intense…
                        He was so hurt…

                        (covers his face) Hyung…
                        I can not leave him alone regardless you are here…
                        I wish to stay to watch over him…
 

Onew:             (nods) I am really so sorry Kibum… but please be strong…

Kibum:             (wipes his tears) I will… No matter what happens hyung…
                        I will always love him…
                        I don’t want to ruin Taemin’s life …

Onew:             (looks at Kibum)
                       have you informed anyone other than me…?

Kibum:             (shakes his head) No… just you…
                        I will call them tomorrow…

                        (looks at Onew) Hyung…
                         I don’t how will they react especially Auntie Soo and Uncle Teukkie…
                         and my family…

                         (heaves a sigh) especially Minho…
                         I have a feeling he will blame him self again...
 

Onew:             (inhales and exhales loudly) I agree… take a good rest…
                       and luck is in your side for being able to save Taemin’s life…

Kibum:             (nods) Yes… Hyung… Thank you for coming…

Onew:             Don’t mention it Kibum…
                       I am thankful that you call me as well…

Kibum:             I am very grateful…
                       (turns his head towards Taemin) Taemin’s is sleeping…
                        you may…

Onew understands what Kibum just said, nods and runs toward Taemin’s location; takes a deep breath while pulling the chair beside Taemin’s body. He stares at Taemin’s calm face without him knowing, he finds himself the other’s hair and cheeks. Realizing what he is doing, lifts his face to look directly at Kibum, who is currently laying his tired body on the sofa; calms his self down thinking…

“I need to be strong for the both of you Taemin and Kibum.
Both of you are important to my life especially you Taemin.
You gave me happiness during the times you were with me…
You are vey special to me… please fight... 
no matter what happens, I will always be by your side…”

Then after, Onew checks on Kibum again and thus, decides to ensure the latter’s well being as well. Gently he walks in the direction of Kibum, who has accidentally fallen asleep – staring at him out of deep concern, pities the latter for the turn out of events. Silently he squats at Kibum’s level and calls him softly…

“Kibum…please rest… I will take care of Taemin…”
 

“Hyu…hyung… taaeemmiinniie…”
Subconsciouly Kibum replies…
 

Onew taps Kibum’s shoulder and says…        
“Yes…Kibummie…
please do not worry….sleep…”

Kibum automatically takes a deep breath which Onew reads it like a respond then smiles and walks away from Kibum going to a certain room then comes back carrying a comforter and pillows on his arms. Slowly, blankets Kibum’s body to ensure that the latter rests soundly from the petrifying incident that just happened. Feeling sure of Kibum’s welfare, he then proceeds to watching over Taemin.

Gently holds Taemin’s left hand with a silent promise of not releasing until his time is up and thus, as the time passes by, suddenly, Onew gasps when he feels a light squeeze from Taemin. He swiftly but quietly lifts his body to confirm that he is not being played with; checks on Taemin’s face, catches his breath after seeing quite a few tears falling on Taemin’s face. And thus; on a heartbeat, Onew gently squeezes Taemin’s hand while wiping the latter’s tears with his other hand and says…

“Taemin…this is your hyung, Onew… I am here…
don’t worry…I will watch over you…ok…?
So be alright…and I am very sorry…”

And after expressing his thoughts, Onew gets surprised when Taemin squeezes his hand again to acknowledge what he just said. As a result, Onew smiles and rubs Taemin’s cheek to recognize his action as well.

True to his words, Onew patiently takes care of Taemin and in fact very grateful that he was called by Kibum firsthand to help the latter deal with the situation though he feels bad as well at the same time for the nature of the situation. He sighs as he looks into Taemin’s eyes – remembering his own past; Onew remembers how Taemin made a happy impact into his life. During his growing years, as he was so busy with making himself successful; he never had a chance to get close to anyone nor experiencing how to have a greatest friend or the feeling of being accepted or liked. All those times, it never left – the idea out of his head to be closed to someone and enjoy life happily.

 All his forever wishing that it might happen, happened when he met Taemin, the latter accepted him instantly without hesitation and even more happier and glad when Taemin stayed over with him even for a little while because for him, it had been one of the happiest moments in his life aside from meeting Kibum for the very first time.
