hanahaki disease - an illness born from one-sided love. flowers will grow in the patient's lungs, forcing them to cough/throw them up. the infection can be removed through surgery, but the feelings disappear along with the petals. the infection will go away naturally should the object of your affections return your feelings.

Welcome to... this fic. Jihancheol has been my OT3 basically since I got into Seventeen and I always wanted to write something about them but I never had enough inspiration... until I discovered this fictional disease. I knew immediately that I had to write this!

I've never read a Hanahaki disease fic before so I'm not entirely sure how most people portray it, but given that it is a fictional disease, it should be okay for me to take a few artistic liberties haha. (By the way, does anyone know the origin of this? I can't seem to find it.)
