Divide and Conquer

Description

The lives of these four 23-year-olds is turned upside down with jealousy, hope, love, and failure. These four girls have been friends since their last year of high school, and although it seems like they’re loving their new lives after graduation, they’ve all got their own set of hurdles to overcome.

Foreword

Kim Ahyoung is nothing but a party girl who spent her time in college “studying” education while her parents picked up the tab. After spending every night of the week at multiple clubs, Ahyoung is picked up by a scouting agent who is infatuated by her looks and believes she has the ability to be the new, fifth member of an up-and-coming girl. Despite her inability to actually sing, she begins her life as the new visual of the girl group, shooting to fame almost instantly. Her easy success causes her three best friends, especially Bang Minah, to view her in a new, envious light.

Bang Minah has always wanted to become a singer but has done nothing but fail every audition she’s went to. After hearing of Ahyoung’s success, Minah feels nothing but anger and jealousy towards her best friend. When her father’s business collapses, Hyeri is the only one who knows, and Minah is forced to work at a convenient store to support her parents while she watches Ahyoung accomplish her personal dream.

Park Sojin still isn’t entirely sure what to do with her life. While she was in college, she majored in fine arts, but now she’s not sure her degree is actually worth anything. With the help of her best friend, Kim Ahyoung, Sojin somehow manages to secure a job as a makeup artist, but she doesn’t know if she’s qualified or wants to do the job. After unforeseen events, Sojin is forced to take the job, but she soon finds out that she’s little more than a store helper who’s there to fetch water for the customers, leaving her to question her future.

After graduation, Lee Hyeri got a job working for the Korean government, a job that comes with positive status and made Hyeri happy. It had been her goal since high school to work for the government, and now, she was there Through her work, Hyeri manages to meet the guy she believes to be the man of her dreams. To her friends, she seems happy, and they’re all happy for her; however, Hyeri’s future husband is not all that he seems, but she refuses to leave.

Author's Notes: This is a story based on any movie, tv-show, or book that revolves around a group of people simply living their lives. This story will be written a bit differently compared to most stories. Each chapter will probably focus on one girl's point of view as the story follows her life. Therefore, if chapter 1 were to follow Sojin, chapter 2 may follow Minah, making the story completely different. I'm experimenting, so I'm sorry if you don't like it. When I do this, I will try to keep who I write consistent, meaning if there's eight chapters, each girl will have two chapters. I don't want to have eight chapters and seven of them are about Sojin. I don't own any of Girl's Day, and these events are in no way true and come from my imagination. I hope you enjoy my story; I will be trying to update once a week or so.

I'm really excited for this story. Girl's Day doesn't have enough long chaptered fanfics. Hope you update soon!
