Guardian Angel
As they stepped inside the light automatically. There was a stairway that led underground. They all looked at each other before Ji-Chang and Ji-Hoon took a step further inside and looked around. There was some picture on the walls but they didn't seem important. Haneul held Jong Suk's hand tightly and looked at him. Jong Suk nodded his head and held her hand tightly as well. His look gave her security that everything will be alright. Soon afterward they followed the guys down the stairs. It was a narrow staircase and the stairs were wooden, so they were all careful not to fall since they were old.
As they walked further down Haneul looked around and tried to focus on the pictures in hopes that maybe something will trigger her memories again, but this time it didn't work. She sighed and at that moment Jong Suk stopped and looked at her for a moment. He wanted to know what was on her mind, but he wasn't sure if he should ask her or not. He was aware of how she might be feeling.
She looked at him and just hugged him tightly. He wrapped his hands around her and just held her like that.
"Thank you..." She whispered.
"For what?" He pulled away and looked into her eyes.
"For everything." She smiled. "Let's go."
They continued walking and after a few minutes, they reached the bottom of the stairs and looked around. They were standing in another hallway, but this time there were three doors. They had three different colors. Blue. Yellow. Black.
"Do we separate or go in together?" Ji Hoon asked.
"Let's all take a room, if we find something interesting we'll signal each other." Ji Chang said.
They all nodded. Ji Chang chooses the blue door, Ji Hoon choose the black and Jong Suk and Haneul took the red. They all walked into their rooms on the count of three. As Jong Suk opened the door the two of them slowly stepped inside. There was a big bookshelf on the left wall and a desk was in the middle of the room. No windows. Everything was covered in dust and Haneul started to cough a little.
Jong Suk had a scarf on his neck so he took it off and wrapped it around her neck and lifted a part of it over . He then smiled and kissed her forehead. She blushed a little and looked at him.
"Thank you." She said.
"Always, now let's see what we can find here." He said and looked around.
Haneul nodded and walked over to the desk. The first thing she did was open the drawers. In the first drawer, there were some pencils, empty envelopes, and paper clips. She went through it just in case she missed something but no luck this time. She closed it and opened the second drawer and it there were two small boxes, a set of keys, and a notebook.
Haneul took it out of the drawer and set it on the table. Before searching through it she decided to open the last drawer as well. In the third drawer, some files had red signs on them. She took that out as well and sat on the chair. Jong Suk was over at the bookshelf and he was looking at some books that sounded interesting. They were related to the medical field and clones. It made him remember Ji Chang's words.
He picked one book up from the shelf and headed over to Haneul. They both looked at each other and then back at the things that were on the table. Haneul first looked at the two boxes that were on the table and she decided to open them first. They both had a lock on them so she picked up the set of keys and tried each key until she found a match.
She then opened one of the boxes. There were some pictures in it so she took them out and the two of them went through them. In one of the pictures, there was Haneul, Ji Chang, and Ji Chang's parents. They all looked happy. Ji Chang's mother was holding Haneul in her arms. Haneul found it a bit strange, but at the same time, she had a warm feeling in her heart.
Jong Suk wasn't confused as he already knew that Ji Chang was Haneul's real brother, therefor her current parents were not her real parents. But he couldn't say anything, first because he promised Ji Chang and second because it's something she needs to remember and then talk with Ji Chang about it. She turned the picture to the other side and there was
