Foreword
She is standing alone in the middle of the night, drenched by rain but she doesn't even bother to shelter herself. She clenches her fists tight, fighting back the tears she has been holding back for one whole year.
"Misa!"
There he is.
He finally finds who he's looking for. He runs through the rain and pulls her into a hug, "I'm really worried! Why didn't you pick my call? If I knew you're still waiting for me, I-"
She pushes him away as the tears betray her, rolling down on her cheeks, blended with the raindrops, "If you knew? If you knew, I wouldn't be waiting here alone!"
"I-I'm sorry, Misa, I-" he tries to explain the reason why he didn't come earlier but his girlfriend takes steps backwards, shaking her head with disbelief.
"I have enough, Yong Junhyung. I have enough with your reasons," she lets out everything she has been kept inside her heart. "One year. I waited. I always waited for you... but I guess I really have enough of waiting for you."
"No, Misa, I promise this is the last time I-" once again Misa doesn't wait for Junhyung to finish his explanation... because this is not the first time he tries to apologize by giving her a promise.
Another promise that he will break again.
"Promise?" Misa scoffs with obvious sarcasm. "What is it this time? That you will come to visit me tonight? That you will bring me presents tomorrow morning? That you will stay with me when I open my eyes? That we will have another date one day? No, Junhyung. No more promises."
Misa turns around and even though Junhyung tries to stop her by grabbing her wrist, she quickly pulls her hand, giving him a deadly glare and Junhyung knows that he is the one to blame.
Watching the girl he loves to walk away from him, Junhyung stands alone, clenching his fists until blood drips down from his palm.
"This...," Junhyung clutches his own shirt and a tear escapes his eyes, "...I promise you."
"Misa!"
