There is a New Year tradition in Luna Academy called ‘The Resolution Kiss’

Why is it called Resolution Kiss? Simple.

Every New Year Eve, the teachers and student council will arrange a party for the whole academy to celebrate New Year. The party will be held at the Luna Academy’s garden where they will gather at the infamous grandfather clock in the middle of the garden.

There will be party, dancing and of course, food.

The rules of this tradition are simple.  

Like always, you will have a resolution that you would want to achieve in the upcoming year. Once you decided on your New Year’s resolution, you will have to wait for the countdown.

The countdown is of course, from the garden’s grandfather clock.

Then, once you count to one, the lights from the academy will be automatically switched off and this is where the tradition came in.

Resolution in mind, the final countdown, the black out and last but not least, the kiss.

You can kiss anyone, be it a sibling, a friend or a lover. It doesn’t have to be on the lips, a cheek, a hand, a forehead is also a kiss. If you are alone, well you better find someone before the final countdown.

And exactly 10 seconds after the black out, the fireworks begin.

To all you who are wondering… Why a kiss?

Because once you decided on your New Year’s Resolution, you seal it with a kiss.
