"We love not with our hearts, but with our souls."

Description

They've lost him twice; they won't lose him again. (neo, navi, dragon!AU)

Foreword

Written for the VIXX Secret Santa 2015. This was my prompt: -

" Neo or Navi though I'm flexible on the others with the exception of Keo. Lol

I love fantasy, first and foremost, but after that, fluffy is good, as is science fiction, or any type of alternate universe

I would absolutely love something dragon related but beyond that, anything remotely fantasy oriented (fairies, elves, unicorns, mermaids, etc.) would be preferred. Again, I'm open and flexible. So long as it's not tragedy, angst, or high school drama, I'm usually pretty good "

Chapter 5: Just finished reading it! I'm sorry it took me so much longer than intended to get to. Things got busy on this end. O.o But I thoroughly enjoyed the entire story. It was nothing like what I expected and while you're right that there are still plenty of questions to go along with it, the story itself was delightful and romantic and filled with ups and downs aplenty. I definitely understand how this would not have worked as a oneshot and I think the three part arc was a very good choice, all things considered. ^_^ It really helped the story to make sense and come together, especially with Sanghyuk's explanation in the third part.

When everything happened in the first part, you set such a bleak scene. I was definitely not expecting that, but it certainly worked to draw me in. And I think you're right that Taekwoon would have been the more predatory of the two. I likely would have chosen that in turn and it fit quite well. The appearance of their wings was surprising and for the most part, I had some trouble in picturing them (you call them dragonoids which makes me think more draconic - though that could also just refer to their blood - but I imagine humans with bright hair and wings on occasion). That was quite a surprise when Hakyeon returned that one night but I can get behind it. haha A little out of the blue but considering the month prior, it could totally work. But then you went and had that ending and I was all like 'Oh my goodness!' Break my heart why don't you? Fortunately, part II came about and it started to make more sense, not the least of which was because you introduced us to Hongbin at the end there.

It was interesting with the different stages you had us meet the dragons and their mate too. I really liked how each time period was progressively more accepting and magical in nature. The final one would certainly be interesting to hear more about and I could totally see it growing into something with a lot of possibilities.

Chapter 5: Oh! I'm incredibly intrigued at the moment. I had to take a peek at the author's note and I'm so looking forward to reading this! I'm delighted to hear that the writing of it was fun and exciting for you, especially since it was a relatively new genre, and I do not mind if there is some angst. I just didn't want all angsty and tearjerker and stuff though a little bit is quite acceptable. ;) Likewise for the dual pairings. No worries. :D I'm sure I'll love it when I have the time to read it (hopefully later today if not tomorrow) and I'll be sure to let you know what I think. I'm super excited (and surprised) that it's as long as it is and thank you in advance for taking the time and the effort to write it out. Merry Christmas in the meantime and I hope you enjoy your story too (from whoever got your prompt). ^_^
