Sunmi accompanied me to the audition for Unpretty Rapstar Season 2. She wanted to be my cheerleader but well, because of her celebrity status, she had to wait in our work van while I went in to audition.

I decided to be myself and not come on too fierce in my audition. The producers  got a glimpse of Wonder Girls' REBOOT pre-released rap track, BACK. It was a track I had been practicing lately with Lim so I might as well use it for my audition. Based on the producers' positive response, I guessed I nailed it. After that it was back to band practice with Sunmi and the other girls. Sunmi was in a good mood when she heard I did well at audition she kept on snapping photos of me before we headed to practice. She did not forget to post the photos on IG and I reposted some on my IG as well. And moments later, Jinwoon commented that he just saw the photo on IG and not long he saw the photo hitting the news. I guessed we were getting more attention with the wonder girls’ comeback news trending lately.  I was glad was not so ‘dead’ after all.

It did not take long for mnet to get back to me that I passed the audition. I got the casting confirmation a couple of days later when the girls and I were preparing to leave for Saipan for a photo shoot. After that, I was working day and night on my rap compositions while at the same time practicing with my girls on comeback performances. So, even when we were enjoying ourselves in a beautiful island in Saipan, I practically had my earphones on practicing my raps a lot of times.

Also, while we were in Saipan, our comeback teasers were released and we were getting lots of attention since it was the first time the public got to see us performing with instruments. And it was then that I got loads of texts from friends congratulating us on the awesome teasers. Sungbin texted his congrats in our group chat and that was the first time in a long while since I heard from him. Unlike Sungbin, Taec did not congratulate me. Instead, he tweeted me observing how my clothes were too little in the teaser. Yeah, despite not being my boyfriend, he still could not help acting like one again. And I could not help but reply his tweet with an inventive excuse. Old habits die hard, I guess. The good thing was, I did not need to warn him about the y wardrobe for this whole comeback since he had no say in this anymore. Being single did have its freedom privileges.

On another note, Jinwoon also had the same reaction as Taec when our comeback album cover was released and commented that we should put on some pants. Ok, Taec who used to be my boyfriend commenting on my y clothes was habit. I did not know what Jinwoon was about but shouldn't Yen feel something about his "protectiveness"?
