Description
Kyoungjae is an assistant healer in the castle with a crush on Soohyun, the skilled and sometimes intimidating weapons master. In the training hall, he is a wonder to watch, where he is typically composed and a true master of his domain. But when the death bell sings her mournful song again, this time, Kyoungjae notices a change in the usually untouchable other man.
Foreword
Written in part as a gift fic for kaseyslove and Kyuubilover27, this is also another entry into my Two Dozen and One Tales oneshot challenge (which I probably won't be completing this year but I do intend to finish). This was inspired by the quote: "Sometimes the strongest among us are the ones who smile through silent pain, cry behind closed doors, and fight battles that no one knows about."
