Foreword
“Are you sure you really want to marry me? Marrying me is equivalent to have another father to control you. I’ll advise you to think properly before you decide.” Marrying her was not a choice but an obligation. Unless she say no to him, if not she will definitely become his wife.
“Don’t try to scare me.” Park Bo Young met Min Ho's eyes with a brave gaze. “No matter what happen, I’m destined to marry you and become your wife. This life, next life or more lives to come, I’ll still want you to become my husband and I’ll never regret it. I’ll love you forever and ever.”

“From the day you decided to leave this house and leave eomma, I already told myself that I don’t have a father anymore. I refuse to accept your present…” Shin Hye paused, as her sharp glare never leaves her father’s painful eyes. “… just like how eomma refuse to accept a single penny from you. What we want is not your money, not some pity present from you. What we need is a home, a complete family. Can you give us that?”
Park Doo Jun heaved a deep sigh and looked away. “I’m sorry.” He said shamefully.
Shin Hye sank her teeth into her bottom lip and let out a sarcastic chuckle. “Sorry? We don’t need that. I’m not the useless 6 years old little girl anymore. I won’t cry like some kind of pity-abandoned dog, begging my father not to leave us. I can take care of myself, take care of eomma. If you still have some tiny humanity inside your cruel heart, please leave us alone and don’t come back anymore.” She inhaled a sharp breath, forcing herself not to cry in front of this heartless man. “I hate you…” She said through gritted teeth, glaring at her father with her eyes full with hatred. “… and I’ll never forgive you.”

It’s her.
Although thirteen years has passed but he was very sure that the girl who was standing under the tree now is his adopted father’s daughter, Shin Hye. Taking a deep intake of breath, his eyes slowly scanned her from top to toe. She is very beautiful. She has a face that… that could attract anybody’s attention by just looking at her. His eyes were locked at her, unable to pull away. The 10 years old beautiful little girl that he first saw thirteen years ago has now transformed to an even more breathtaking young woman. Even without any make up or pretty dress on her, it still couldn’t hide her beauty.

Shin Hye doesn’t know his name but she recognized him. He was the boy that came to her house with that man thirteen years ago. Although they never speak to each other at that time, but his presence has somehow attracted her attention. She heard that man telling her mother that he was his adopted son. Compared to the first time she met him, he was so different now. He was no longer the same boy anymore. He has become a man that could make any heart fluttered just by looking into his eyes.

Min Ho clenched his jaw, trying to endure the pain on his forearm. Her teeth violently sunk into his hand, slowly tearing his flesh apart. Blood were oozing out from the wound that her teeth were still biting. He didn’t push her away, didn’t move and didn’t make a single sound. He just quietly looks at her, letting her to explode all her anger on him.
When Shin Hye felt the warm liquid burned her lips, her tongue unconsciously at it, the taste of his blood immediately brought her back to her senses. She quickly pulled away and was frightened by the bleeding wound on his forearm. Tears started to rush out from her eyes as she tried to step away.
But before she could do so, Min Ho was faster and pulled her back to him. “I’m okay.”
Shin Hye shook her head and continued to cry. “How can you be okay? You are bleeding. I hurt you…”
“I’m really okay. This is nothing. I don’t feel anything.” He said, looking deeply into her eyes. “I just want to make sure you are okay.”
Shin Hye inhaled a deep breath and pushed him away forcefully. “Why are you doing this to me? Why must you treat me so good? I hate him. You are his son. I should hate you too. I need to hate you. I have to hate you.”
Min Ho stepped forward and held her arms, ignoring the pain and blood that was still rolling down his hand. “Why must you hate all of us? Why must you torture yourself in hatred? All this is not your fault. You should let it go and stop hurting yourself because of the past.”
“You will never understand. Please… please leave me alone. Don’t appear in front of me ever again. If you continue to do this to me, I don’t know how long my heart could block you away.” Shin Hye closed her eyes and cried painfully.
“Why must you block me away? I’m your brother. We are family. It’s my responsibility to take care of you.” Min Ho argued, still holding tightly onto her.
Shin Hye pulled away from him again and shook her head fiercely. “I don’t want you to be my brother. I don’t want you to care for me because of responsibility. I want you to love me like how I love you.”

Hi guys… sorry for the long MIA… I know a lot of you are worried about me but I’m here… still breathing, still surviving… hahaha… I was very busy lately and couldn’t find the free time to write or even login to AFF… I’m really sorry for the long wait…
And as for a compensation… here you go for a new story, Devoted Love… this is not a story that I wrote today but it has been written for some time already… it was written bit by bit whenever I have the free time or when I couldn’t think of any good idea for the other stories… the first chap has been sitting in my computer and only today I remember about it… I was thinking to update this after I complete all my other ffs but since some of you are hoping to see my update, maybe I’ll post this one up first… This is will definitely be a short one, maybe around the length of AR, 5-10 chaps because I’m going to write it in a fast pace and not in details like the others… This story will be mainly about SH, how she grew up and struggled through the betrayal of his father, how much she hate his father and his family, how she wanted to avenge them but fell in love with MH in the process… SH will be quite different from her other characters in my other ffs and I hope you will like it… XOXO
