Chapter 46
· Wounded Hearts ·Chapter 46:
The weekend had arrived and the girls including Hoseok were helping Namjoon move into their home. They had been unloading boxes filled with his belongings into one of the empty rooms of the house since the morning.
"This is very exciting." Proclaims Hoseok as he helps unpack a box filled with clothes. "You're part of the family now."
Namjoon chuckles slightly. Hoseok was always a very goofy person.
"Hey where do you want this?" Jungmee asks as she walks in with a tall lamp.
"Right there." Namjoon exclaims as he points towards the futton in his bedroom. Namjoon continues to unbox his belongings, he piles some of the things he plans on throwing away.
"Have you thrown a lot of stuff away?" Minhee asks as she helps him make the bed.
"Yes a lot." Namjoon answers. "I had thrown so many things away as the years had progressed, there are some thing I kept."
Minhee proceeds to unboxing a box. When she opens it it fully cathes her attention. "Pretty." She states under her breathe. She holds out to golden medals. "Did you win these Namjoon?"
Namjoon looks up and notices Minhee holding his little sisters' swimming medals. "No those belong to my little sisters'" He smiles sadly as he remembers the last time he saw them.
"Where do you want me to place them?" Minhee asks. Namjoon quickly strides to the other side of the room and makes space on the shelf in his room. "There is a picture frame inside the box with my family on it, we will place it next to the medals."
"Okay." Minhee scans inside the box quickly and pulld a brown wood frame with an image of five beautiful people sitting at a restaurant with food on their table and huge smiles spread across their faces. "Do you miss them?"
"Yeah." Namjoon answers with a sad tone. "I dream about them every single night."
Jungmee quickly walks over to look at the picture. "They look so happy."
"We were very happy. That day we went out to eat at a fancy restaurant." Namjoon smiles as he ponders back to that event. "My mom and dad had taken a break from their work and took us to Jeju island for the holiday break. We went to a fancy restaurant to celebrate the holidays."
Minhee remembers the time her mother had promised her to take her to a beach in Korea. Back when she lived in America they had gone to many beaches but they never got the chance to in Korea. It was a void that broke her heart tremendously.
"That sounds lovely." Minhee looks over at Namjoon and smiles. He smiles back as he remembers how much the girls resemble his two little sisters. "Are you girls excited for winter break?"
"Very much." Jungmee answers as she continues unboxing a box filled with jeans. "School is way too much."
"And then you girls graduate in February! Only a month left." Hoseok exclaims as he cuts a cardboard box and place it flat on the ground.
"Have you girls applied to colleges?" Namjoon asks.
"We ended up applying to the same colleges." Minhee answers. No matter where they go in life, Minhee and Jungmee will always be together. They are inseparable.
"We applied to three universities here and three universities in the states." Jungmee explains. "Dad told us we had to apply for three schools in the states for back up."
"We honestly don't know what he means by that." Minhee adds in.
The smile from Namjoon slightly disppears as he thinks about how the girls might end up going back to America for a few years. It breaks him a little inside. He has gotten so used to their presence and loves having them around. The thought of them not being here for a few years breaks him inside. He hopes for the best and that they juend up staying here.
After they finish unpacking, they all head back to the kitchen to eat some food that had been prepared by the girls. They all sit around the table laughing and talking. The bell suddenly rings and a cute face pops up on the screen monitor.
"Password?" Hoseok chirps as they all chuckle.
"Hoseok can you please let me in." Seokjin rolls his eyes.
"Not until you give me the password." Hoseok sings.
"No." Seokjin sounds a tad bit a annoyed.
"Then I won't let you in." Hoseok chuckles. His laugh sounds like a horse.
Jungmee walks over and hits a button on the monitor that unlocks the gate. "This is why we carry the passcode."
Hoseok continues laughing as he goes back to his seat to devour his meal.
Seokjin walks in to the kitchen. He holds a few bags filled with drinks and food. He pulls out a medium box from one of the bags and hands it to Namjoon.
"What?" Namjoon's eyes widen.
"It's a gift for your new room. Just for luck." He smiles as he takes his seat next to Jungmee. He quickly place the drinks and food in the middle. Hoseok scans one of the bags. "Hot wings!" He quickly opens the box and grabs two hot wings and quietly muches on them.
Seokjin quickly grabs a bite from Jungmee's food as she places a spoon filled with rice close to his lips.
"Hey Seokjin." Namjoon says.
Seokjin looks away from his girlfriend and towards Namjoon. "Yeah?"
"When is the wedding?" Namjoon gleefully jokes. Hoseok bursts out laughing with food filled in his mouth.
Minhee quietly devours her chicken wing while starring at Seokjin. She thinks Jungmee and Seokjin are a great pair.
"In a year or so." Seokjin confidentially answers back.
Jungmee chuckles nervously as she hopes he is joking around.
"Honestly I am so excited for that." Hoseok exclaims. "I can't wait, I really want to be an uncle."
Seokjin chuckles. "Yeah. I can't wait to become a father one day."
Minhee smiles at her sister as she notices her sister blushing.
"How about you Minhee?" Hoseok asks. "Since you're off the market, when is Jimin proposing?"
"What?" Minhee almost chokes.
"Come on don't be silly. You and Jimin are so in love." Hoseok blows a kiss towards Minhee. "I see the way you two stare at eachother."
"Have you been stalking me?" Minhee tilts her head to the side.
"Nope." Hoseok stuffs his mouth with rice and tries to cover up what he had said.
"Yes he has." Namjoon whispers. "He always does."
Minhee gasps. "Stalker."
"I call it protection." Hoseok says with a mouth filled with rice. They continue laughing and smiling until they finish their food.
After lunch everyone goes back to their respective agenda. Minhee goes to her room to work on some school work. Namjoon and Hoseok go to his room to play some video games. Meanwhile Seokjin and Jungmee hang around in her room. They are cuddled up on a futton in her room while they watch a Disney movie. It's been a while since they have had time to hang out just the two of them.
"Seokjin" Jungmee moves herself away from Seokjin.
"Yes?" He asks as he pauses the movie.
"You were joking about the getting married so soon?" Jungmee asks. That question had been eating her up all day ever since lunch.
"No I was not." Seokjin he leans in to fix the hair that has fallen infront of her face. "I want to get married with you as soon as possible."
"Why is that?" Jungmee asks.
Seokjin smiles at her. "I am afraid of losing you." As much as he hates to admit it, he feels like he is losing her. If he doesn't do something to make sure she stays by her side he knows that eventually he is goin
