Description
He has escaped. For 1012 days and 22 hours, this is all he has thought about, dreamt about, lived for. Now he’s out, but they’re still after him and he knows that each day could be his last – especially if they discover exactly what it is that he can do. Foreword
RIGHT SO. This is my first fanfic on this site, and also my first KPOP fanfic, so I apologise for the lack of aesthetics and general disorganisation of the story so far. I'll fix it later when I get the hang of this, I promise!
The Cynics is a Jihoon-centric fic set in a superpower!AU, with the rest of the members making up the other main characters. No trigger warnings from what I've planned so far, but that could change at any moment. I'll be sure to let you know if anything in a chapter is triggering, though.
General notes:
- Not romance-centric and definitely not fluffy, although I might include it in the future.
- I don't think it's trigger-worthy, but I'll mention now that I'm quite liberal with swearing lol
- I'm using their real names, not stage names (those might come into play later, though). In case you're not familiar with them:
- Jihoon = Woozi
- Seungcheol = S.Coups
- Minghao = The8
- Seokmin = DK
- Hansol = Vernon
- Chan = Dino
- Soonyoung = Hoshi
- I'm leaving Jun as Jun because it's just a shortened version of Junhui, like a nickname. Joshua also stays as Joshua rather than Jisoo, since he was born and raised in an English-speaking country.
- The terms and concepts of metahumans and metagenes are taken from DC Comics, but that's all I'm taking from there :)
