Greetings From Eden

Description

In a world where technology is widely respected, twelve individuals are caught between submitting to a world where synthetic beauty is accepted and the searching for a natural world long forgotten.

Joshua Hong is a proud game developer that has finally advanced the meaning of gameplay to a whole new level. In his newest MMORPG game, E.D.E.N, players can finally experience a world they can taste, touch, and wander through like any other place on earth without the danger of dying upon losing in the game. This is a miraculous development in gaming and scientific circles, but it doesn't seem like he'll become any more popular with it. Joshua starts recieving strange messages from a group that threatens to destroy the code that was used to create his virtual world, becomes the enemy of multiple gaming companies, and ends up kidnapped by a small renegade that tells him that his programming skills are desperately needed to save their world. With so much slamming him back and forth, he isn't sure whether to destroy his hard work or try to protect it, so what's the right choice in the end?

Chapter 1: Well, I like the concept you're playing with but with this prologue, I'm not entirely sure what to expect. The description caught my eye, especially since I enjoy video games and the developments Joshua managed to bring about would be fascinating in a real world setting. Rather eerily, I feel that the essay here echoes certain characteristics of modern society at present but I am more intrigued to see how this will fit into the world you're tentatively building. I see you haven't updated in a while but I am still curious all the same and hopefully your Muse will return. Good luck either way and happy writing. ^_^
