WITH SANG MI...
It was rare that when promoting, you got a free day, but thankfully, the company decided to allow their newest sub-unit a weekend off to do whatever it was they wanted before heading back into promotions the upcoming Monday. Sang Mi couldn't help but feel bad for their 'maknae' of the sub-unit, Chase, who was still doing schedules and appearances despite the free time given. Sang Mi made a mental note to ask Su-chin to rearrange some time for Chase to officially have some down time, knowing that she'd crash soon if she was unable to get the much needed rest required. 

"Hey, miss, heads up!" A young male's voice called, and Sang Mi looked up in time to dodge a soccer ball coming straight towards her head. Today was a beautiful day in Seoul, and Sang Mi couldn't have resisted going down towards the Han River, walking through the park and enjoying the weather. Sang Mi picked up the ball, eyeing it before looking back at the small group of high school boys who were presumably the culprits. 

"Sorry, I didn't think he could kick that hard --"

Sang Mi cut him off, "Can I join you?" Holding the soccer ball in one hand, her mask hanging off of one ear as the boy processed what she has asked. He shrugged, "I mean, yeah sure, if you'd like. We could split into even teams that way." He brought her over to the group, explaining that she wanted to play and the boys, despite their doubtful faces over having a girl join their game, decided to let her join in order to have everyone be able to play. 

Sang Mi tied her hair up in a ponytail, putting her all into the game. It was rare she got to play soccer with anyone, since no one in the dorm really knew how to play and their hectic schedules since debut. She missed soccer and playing it, it was a great way to de-stress and helped her focus on something other than her career. It was about fifteen minutes before she noticed some people stopping to take a better look at her and the game, but she ignored it in favor for trying to score a goal. Sang Mi took a shot, cursing softly as the boy in the goal caught it, tossing it back out. 

"You can do it, Sang Mi-unnie!" Her head whipped over, eyebrow raised towards a group of teenagers with their phones out, recording the game and her. She didn't recongize any of them, but assumed that they must of have been fans. She smiled and waved towards them a bit, going back to play a bit more.

Whoosh. The sound of the ball flying into the goal from an assist with her teammate was one of the most satisifying sounds Sang Mi had heard for the last couple of weeks, cheering and congratulating the boys she had played with. She looked over to the group of fans, which had grown by a few and jogged over, greeting them politely. "Hello, everyone!" She smiled, allowing the screams and trills to die down before asking how they were doing. 

"Good, unnie! Do you have today off?" One fan asked, her hands shaking as she focused her phone on Sang Mi. Cute, Sang Mi smiled, nodded, "I have the whole weekend off, all of us do."

"Are IDYLL going to be on Music Bank on Monday?" Another asked. "Yes, we are! Are you guys enjoying the new tracks?" She asked, pleased when all of them nodded, gushing over the song and the amazing success the song and subunit was experiencing. "Were you expecting 'I Swear' to be a big hit, noona?" A male asked, and Sang Mi had to stop herself from cringing at 'noona'. It just reminded her of her age. 

"No, I wasn't," Sang Mi answered, signing a notebook that another fan had politely asked her to autograph for her, "We just wanted to make a good song, so we wanted our fans to like it. We had no idea the response from all over would be this good!" She chatted with them a while longer, asking them if they were done with exams and if they were taking care of themselves.

"Ah, actually, I was going to post on Instagram later today, but since you all are here," She fumbled with her pockets, finding her phone and pulling it out, "I need new music recommendations, are there any songs or groups I should give a listen to?"

"Boy groups or girl groups, unnie?"

"Girl groups, please!" Sang Mi laughed, "Most of my band mates are biased towards different boy bands already and they're always showing me their new releases. I want to find groups to make friends with!" Immediately fans listed off a few groups and specific songs to listen to, Sang Mi taking each and every one of them down. 

A fan shyly raised her hand, blushing as Sang Mi turned to her to make sure she caught the name, "Mamamoo is my second favorite group next to yours, unnie. They're all very talented and their sound is retro... I think you'd like them!" 

Sang Mi smiled, "Thank you! Mamamoo, got it!" She typed in the name on the list she was making, getting a few more songs before her phone began ringing Seventeen's "Pretty U". The fans cooed over the ring tone, saying she was very supportive of her maknae's brother's group.

"It's actually our maknae, this is her favorite song by them, so its her personal ringtone for everyone in the group," Sang Mi explained as she picked up. "Clara! Are you done for the day?"

"Yes, unnie!" Clara answered enthusiastically, making Sang Mi very happy. "I'll be there soon, but before I go, there's a few people who want to say hello!" She put the phone on speaker, urging the fans to say something, who greeted Clara. "A-ah, hello everyone!" Clara sputtered, and Sang Mi could imagine the younger blushing and stumbling over her words from being put on the phone. "I'm on my way, okay? Goodbye everyone!" She waved, bowing and heading off to her car. 

On her way to the school, Sang Mi couldn't help but think of everything she had going on and everything she had to keep hidden, even interacting with fans, though enjoyable, she was so scared of saying the wrong thing and letting loose a secret that could ruin her career and her group's. She ran a hand through her hair, sighing. 

"My uncle being the CEO of our company is something very few people know, honestly." Sang Mi began talking to herself. It was a technique she learned back in her high school days to help calm her anxiety and whirlwind mind. "I appreciate that he gave me a chance, but he can't keep being so nice to our group all the time -- people might catch on." She signaled her turn to switch lanes as she continued, "And then there's relationships, which aren't really relationships anyways, even Dongwoo --" Sang Mi slowed herself to a stop as the light turned red. 

"Dongwoo was an ," She reasoned, "Why would you break up with someone because they aren't straight? Biual is half that, but of course everyone wants to be a critic and say 'biuals aren't real' and 'they need to choose' --" She let out a frustrated sigh as the light turned green. "Whatever, let it go, Sang Mi. It's not like you're going to fall for anyone anytime soon. Everyone you've been involved with knows this." She leaned back in her seat as she got in line for the carpool to pick up Clara. "Maybe call Jaemin sometime soon. He was really helpful when you needed it back then..." She reasoned with herself, pulling out her phone and opening Melon. Sang Mi was serious about making a playlist of the songs recommended to her by the fans she had met. 

Once she had finished, Sang Mi pressed 'shuffle' and let the songs and artists play as the line creeped forward, keeping an eye out for Clara's bun and bow in the crowd -- only to know that it was useless unless Clara was able to get to the very front, given her height. 

She was idly listening to the music playing, occasionally moving forward in the line and looking for her youngest friend. 

"Hey, Piano Man...." Her ears perked up at the sultry sounding voice, paying close attention and favoriting the song before it even reached the chorus. "Who is this?" She commented, looking at the artist name. "Mamamoo... I remember one fan mentioning them. I'll have to check them out if we ever promote together." She nodded, catching sight of Clara scrambling to the car, opening the door and climbing in. "Thanks for picking me up, unnie!" Their youngest smiled brightly, and Sang Mi smiled back. 

"No problem." Na mworalkka, jigeum i goseseo neorang narang dulman -- nameullae ireoke~ For some reason, she couldn't get one of the vocalist's voices out of their head for the rest of the day. 

WITH JJ...

"Oh my god, Sophie, calm down!" JJ sighed, walking alongside her as they entered the lounge of Woollim. There they were immediately affronted with a large amount of noise and rowdiness. Sophie flinched, "I told you, it's chaos with these boys. Why did you talk me into asking them to come over??? We have other friends --"

"Because you've been complaining about Sungjae texting you constantly asking 'where are you' and if you were dead yet." JJ shot back, gaining the attention of the boys that had invaded their company's lounge. 

"Sophie!" Sungjae's voice boomed, and Sophie looked like she didn't know whether to smile or have a heart attack. JJ snorted, pushing her over to her friends and following. "Hey friends -- and Sungjae," Sophie recovered quite quickly, elbowing Sungjae over so she could sit down on the couch with him and Ilhoon, "I brought one of my friends from my group, this is JJ!" She gestured over to her older member, who smiled and bowed politely. "Hello!" JJ greeted, jumping when Sungjae, Hyunsik, Changsub, and Peniel jumped up and began dancing overdramatically (and kind of badly) to I SWEAR, screaming half gibberish and half the actual lyrics. After her initial shock and Sophie complaining about how she needed to find better friends and proceeded to drop her dead weight on Sungjae to keep him down, she joined the group, thanking them and picking her seat.

"I'm guessing you guys like the song." JJ smiled, sitting next to Hyunsik and Peniel on the adjacent couch from Sungjae, Ilhoon, and Sophie. Minhyuk and Eunkwang were sitting on the couch's arm rests, while Changsub settled for one of the few single chairs in the lounge. Eunkwang nodded, "Of course, it's a huge hit! Hyungsik really likes it, Sungjae showed it to him and that started the train!" At this, Hyunsik turned really red and sputtered to find words, "How could you not like it?? It's very well made in all aspects! Don't act like I'm the only one who really likes it --"

JJ cut him off, "It's okay, I'm really glad everyone likes it. I'm a fan of your group so it's great to hear that you like it!" Hyunsik smiled bashfully at that, elbowing Minhyuk off the couch's arm rest when he nudged Hyunsik and made eyebrows at him. "So, JJ," He turned his attention to her, "How's the subunit life?"

Thus started the conversation amoungst the group. JJ could see how Sophie could be best friends with the boys -- they were a riot and weren't far off from their vareity appearances and personas. JJ and Hyunsik immediately dived into further conversation upon learning both were very involved in lyric writing and compositions, with others occasionally chiming in with their thoughts on their own ventures in the subject. 

"So you co-wrote for I'll Be Your Man and helped with everything?" JJ spoke with admiration, "That's amazing! I loved that track." 

Hyunsik smiled, "Thank you, and it's amazing that your group is so involved with the composition and creative process so early on in your debut. It's hard to have that kind of power in this industry." 

She nodded, "Yeah, we were really lucky as a group." Sophie's phone buzzed, "It's Chase," She spoke in English, "It's probably nothing, I'll text her." She began typing furiously, pushing Sungjae away with her foot and attempting to keep Eunkwang at bay with her elbow. It was quite a sight, and JJ laughed until she remembered something. 

"Hey Hyungsik, you speak English right?" She asked, and immediately Hyunsik laughed in nervously. "I don't remember anything because of studying Chinese --" 

"Oh come on," She chided, cutting him off again, "I'm sure it's not that bad! I won't make fun of you!" She insisted, but despite JJ's pleads, Hyunsik was refusing to speak in English. JJ made a face right as her own phone went off, checking the name. 

"Chase...? But I thought you talked to her?" She turned to Sophie, who was too busy attempting to keep Sungjae a decent distance from her because he was apparently set on being affectionate with her. JJ shook her head, excusing herself to go answer the call. "Chase, what's up?" She managed to get out before Chase began talking in an incoherent way, whether it be the connection or the fact that their usual chipper rapper was sounding more stressed, tired, and anxious than anything else. JJ managed to drag over Sophie from Sungjae, putting it on speaker and asking Chase to repeat what was said. "Try and be calmer, you're worrying us." JJ said, hearing Chase take a deep breath, probably putting her mind back in order before speaking. 

"I'm sending you money and food orders and an address. Get the food and go to the address with food, please?" 

"You're going to be broke again because of impluse control, Chase." JJ made a light hearted comment, "We'll do it, no problem, but seriously. Be careful with your expenses,okay? Food is one thing but other things you've bought are... questionable." 

"First off, rude." Chase started to sound more like herself again, relieving the two fellow members, "I stand by my reasoning for needing that spy camera night vision alarm clock." 

"For what??" Sophie burst, "I'm your roommate and I do nothing --" 

"It's true, Sophie is boring!!" 

"Not now, Yook Sungjae!" 

"Anyways," JJ spoke into the receiver, "Yes, send us the address, I'll go over there." With that, she hung up after a good bye and another promise. 

"Why'd you say you'd bring it? We can both go --" Sophie was stopped by JJ. "Look," the older began, "You never get to see these guys anymore because of our promotions and schedules. Stay and hang out for a while longer, I shouldn't be long and then we can watch American 80s movies so I can educate you properly."

Sophie rolled her eyes, "Fiiine. Do we have to watch American movies though? I feel like they just get weirder the more you show me." JJ put a hand on her shoulder, "Trust me. You have no idea what weird is yet."

Sophie glanced over to her friends, "I don't know if that's quite true..." When JJ's phone dinged with a notification of Chase's message, she smiled and waved. "Thanks, JJ.... I really appreciate it." JJ gave her a quick hug and waved to everyone, "Thanks for letting me hang out for a bit, but I have to do a favor for our other member real quick." 

Before anyone could say anything, JJ was out the door and phoning Su-chin to help her out with arranging transportation. If she had stayed a few minutes longer, though, she'd notice that Hyunsik had his phone out, as if wanting to ask her for her contact information...

It didn't take JJ long to get the food from the take out place that Chase had asked her to stop by, but she whistled at the amount of money the food cost. "This girl really is going to be broke... She needs to stop buying it for BTS, she spoils them waaay too much." She muttered to herself through her mask, adjusting her baseball cap as she hurried out to the company car and plugged in the address for the driver to take her there, food settled safely in her lap. She messaged Chase at this point, to ensure that she was enroute to bring food to her favorite boys. 

Thank you soooo much, JJ, seriously. I owe you one. Her message continued, singing JJ's praises as a hero for her children and her interest in reading the rest of her member's long message dwindled quickly. JJ rolled her eyes at the cheesy words, choosing to not respond as she saw that the destination was only a few minutes away. "I've met BTS before, but without Chase it'll be interesting..." JJ mused, considering how the dynamic would be different without her group member there. 

"You have arrived." The GPS broke her train of thought, making her look out the window and squint in confusion. "This isn't BigHit... Maybe they're recording something." She shrugged, getting out and grabbing the food, thanking the driver before finding a person who resembled a staff member. "Hello, where can I find BTS? I have a food delivery for them." She gestured with the bags, only to have the staff member look at her strangely. 

"This is... GOT7's film site, miss." The staff member said. JJ scrunched her brow up again, before sighing, "That's who I meant, sorry." After uncomfortably fidgeting under the judging stare of the staff member, they rolled their eyes and motioned for JJ to follow them on to the filming site. "We'll go to where food is allowed and then I'll get the boys, I'm sure they're starving, they've been at it since early this morning." The staff member off-handedly commented as they ducked around various film equipment. 

Once she got to a table, she set her things down and pulled out her phone, re-reading Chase's messages again. Thank you soooo much JJ, seriously. I owe you one.  If there's any change, keep it as a gift of my gratitude for doing this for me, because seriously, it means a lot and I appreciate it. And my son does too!!! And his six other members. Oh yeah!! You can finally tell JB to not call you noona anymore lol -- he might actually get it when you say it to his face. He seems like the type!! Gotta go, thank you again ~

"Oh Chase." JJ shook her head, typing a reply as she heard a rowdy commotion behind her. She turned as she tucked her phone in her pocket, already picking out her target as the seven boys approached. 

"I know Chase is your mom, but you sent her into a frenzy with whatever you told her! If you do that again you're going to take years not only off of her life, but mine and then you'll be sorry." She teasingly warned Bambam, who looked wide with worry. "I didn't mean to!!" He insisted.

JJ sighed, "I know, I'm just saying. She's very protective of you and is more anxious than she lets on. Send her a thank you when you get a chance, okay? Go eat." She said this louder for the rest of the members to hear, and the boys hurried towards the table, before JB stopped them and made them turn to her. 

"Thank you for bringing us food, we'll enjoy it well!" They chorused, grabbing chopsticks and different dishes and digging in. She was about to leave before a plate of food appeared before her, and she looked towards the direction of the arm to see a nervous looking JB. 

"I'm pretty sure you haven't eaten yet either, you could at least join us for a bit before leaving, noona." JB offered. Up until the last word, JJ was smiling. When she heard 'noona', however, she frowned at him, taking the plate. 

"I'll stay if you stop calling me that." She pointed her chopsticks at him, taking a bite of the meat. JB's brow scrunched in confusion. "Call you what? Noona?" 

JJ nodded, "Yes. I'm not that much older, and I consider you a friend. So stop that." She elbowed him, only to hold back a shriek as she felt wet. "Why are you --- why do all of you look wet???" She glanced around, seeing every GOT7 member having wet looking hair and clothes. 

"It's apart of our music video concept, it'll look cool." Jackson defended, puffing out his chest. JJ rolled her eyes, taking a seat and beckoning JB to sit next to her. "Whatever, 'tough boys'. Just remember, we all know the truth." She teased, causing an uproar from the boy group, all insisting they were manly (except for JB, who said that he was the only truly manly one in the group, which only furthered the argument and chaos). 
 

WITH TINA...

On any other rest day, Tina would find herself with her boyfriend to enjoy some well earned quality time before jumping back into the week. Unfortunately, VIXX was preparing for a comeback and with the popularity of IDYLL's new song, it was better to be safe than get caught by fans. So that's how the Viet beauty found herself in her cousin's apartment with Ginger snuggled in her lap as they watched Dragon Ball Z. "Will you ever not watch Dragon Ball?" Tina laughed at how engrossed Taeyeon was in the episode. 

"I'm only invested when Vegeta shows up, leave me alone with the last scrap of youth I have!" She pointed out, only to ignore her cousin's laughter when Vegeta did indeed show up on the screen and her attention redirected to the show. Luckily, it was the last few minutes so Tina didn't have to wait long to have her cousin's attention again. 

"So, are you enjoying your time off?" Taeyeon had just finished promotions for her solo album, and she was spending the week relaxing before attending any rehearsals or schedules. "Absolutely." Taeyeon sighed, sinking further into her couch. "I bet you can't wait to finish up either, you've done two sets of promotions back to back!" Tina shrugged, "It's a fun song, though, and I love being back in the world and performing... But I'm grateful for the break I have right now!" 

"I'm surprised you didn't pick N to spend one of your few free days with." Taeyeon admitted, beckoning Ginger to come over to her, but made a face when her pet made it clear that she was comfortable in Tina's lap. 

"We haven't hung out in a while, though, and I've missed my favorite cousin!" Tina made a finger heart at her, to which Taeyeon made a dead panned face and raised her eyebrows.

 "You're sooo hanging out with him tonight aren't you?"

 Tina's response was stalled, before there was a quiet, whiny, "...Leave me alone!!" which cracked Taeyeon up, sliding off the couch as Tina turned red. Ginger hopped off her lap then, padding over to her owner's spot on the floor. Taeyeon rolled onto her stomach, "Oh yeah, now you care!" She petted her dog's ears, allowing her to settled next to her as she adjusted herself to be able to see Tina.

 "You can change the TV to whatever you want, I'm going to get more water." She stood up as she tossed the remote to Tina, heading over to the kitchen. Ginger eagerly followed after Taeyeon. "I'm not feeding you!!" The singer insisted, sticking her tongue out at her dog as she the faucet to get cold water. 

Just then, a phone started going off. "Hey, is that you?" Taeyeon called, and Tina looked for her phone, only to realize she must of left it at the dorm. "I don't have mine, it must be yours!" She replied, searching for the device before finding it tucked under one of the couch's cushions, looking at the caller ID. 

"It's Tiffany, want me to answer?" Tina asked, before Taeyeon came sliding in onher socks, her water slooshing over her hand. "Dang it!" Taeyeon groaned, but thanked Tina as she was handed her phone, answering it quickly for her best friend.

"Tiffany, what's up?" Taeyen listened to the other end as she cleaned up her mess, while Tina began playing with Ginger again. "I'm with Tae right now. Is that--" She paused and laughed at whatever Tiffany was saying on the other line. "Sure, I'll ask." Before looking over in Tina's direction, "Tiffany wants to go to COEX with us, you in?" 

"You sure it won't be a bother?" Tina replied. She didn't want to intrude on Tiffany and Taeyeon's time together. However, Taeyeon hushed her. "She practically begged me to bring you along, she loves you. So you wanna go?" Tina smiled and nodded.

"Sounds like fun!" 

It was honestly weird for Tina, being out at a popular mall with two SNSD members, despite her knowing the two for a very long time. She had expected more people to mob them, but the mall was less crowded than what the girls expected, and Tiffany explained that EXO was having a fansign in the SMTown area of the mall, clearing out a lot of the fans. Of course, that didn't mean people still didn't approach them, but both Tiffany and Taeyeon would politely explain that they weren't out for fans and the like today. Luckily the fans that did come up to them were understanding, leaving without much commotion. 

"So which members of EXO are going to be at the fansign?" Tina asked as she looked through the rack of jeans. Tiffany was on the opposite side of the rack and responded, "Chen, Xiumin, Kai, Chanyeol and Baekhyun." The last name struck a memory with Tina, who glanced over at Taeyeon who was in the men's section looking at shirts. 

"Ah, okay..." She managed to get out, before slowly moving around the store to browse more. A few stores later, Tiffany excused herself to go to the bathroom, leaving Taeyeon and Tina together amongst the crop tops of the current clothing store they were in. Taeyeon filtered through the clothing, pulling one out and putting up against Tina's body, trying to gauge what colors would look good on her --

"How do you move on from breaking up with someone??" Tina blurted out, shocking both of the girls. When Taeyeon's shocked face registered in Tina's mind, she immediately went on a spiel, "It's just, Tiffany mentioned Baekhyun being here and I know you broke up a while back but I can't imagine moving on from that, especially if it was me and N --" She trailed off as she watched Taeyeon put the crop top back, allowing her cousin to think.

"It was hard, honestly," Taeyeon finally admitted after they had moved from tops to dresses, "But it didn't last long because we didn't really have the dedication to make it work. We liked each other, of course... but that's not enough in our line of work, you know." Taeyeon sighed, looking over at Tina with a sad smile. "You're very lucky. I hope you know that. N is more than willing to put in the effort and so are you. Cherish that and don't let him go if you're able." 

Tina smiled, squeezing Taeyeon's hand. "I won't. I hope he won't either. You'll find someone just like N, Taeyeon."

They were silent for a while as they looked through the racks, making small comments on the dresses and other articles of clothing they found. Right as they say Tiffany re-enter the store, Taeyeon turned to Tina.

"Hey, you said I'll find someone like N, right?" Tina nodded in confirmation. Taeyeon smiled widely, micheviousness written all over her face. 

"Is Leo single?" 

WITH CHASE...

If you asked someone who knew Chase where she was, and they had to make a guess, it was your best bet that the rapper was at BigHit Entertainment's recording studio or practice room. Today, however, was a bit out of left field for her. The colored lights, the various recording and camera equipment, and the stylist who was finishing up her hair was all very high tech, expensive, and over all impressive. She hadn't been to a large scale production like this ever, but when you're working for SM Entertainment, she guessed, it was a go big or go home kind of deal. 

"You're all done, Miss Chase." The stylist set the iron down, and Chase had to spot herself from making a face at the formality. "Thank you!" She said instead, bouncing up and trying to find the very person she came here for.  

"Chase!" Speak of the dimpled devil. She saw him waving from one of the sets, all wet from the water. She averted her gaze away, suddenly feeling very embarrassed at his current state. "Hey, Lay-sunbaenim..." She spoke formally, and she could practically feel his disappointment and frown. 

"Call me Yixing when we're not recording or anything, I insist!" He was never short or angry, she noticed, which only brought her to a new dilemma. She nodded, "Okay. Are you gonna dry off and change...?" It seemed only when she brought up the obvious that he got embarrassed. 

"Oh! Right, I'll be right back, we're recording your scenes next, right?" She nodded, still unable to make eye contact as he passed by and headed to wardrobe. She let out a breath she didn't know she was holding once he was gone. "My god, that shouldn't bother me??? Get it together, Chase!!" She muttered in Tai, shaking herself.

A cameraman came up to her, explaining he was filming the Behind the Scenes parts of the MV and would like to get a couple of minutes of her, since she was the 'female lead'. She agreed, and once the camera was rolling, the man asked about how she felt about the tracks and album Lay was releasing.

"Well, I really like what he's doing," She carefully adjusted her hair, "It's very much an all-encompassing album that captures many sides of Lay-sunbaenim well --" She saw Yixing getting his hair dried, waving a little at her in the mirror. Chase laughed, "I'm honestly still floored over 'Lose Control', though, because the only control I can see him losing is his cool every five minutes. Lay-sunbaenim can't keep a straight face from what I've gathered of him." 

Yixing came back over a few minutes later, after the camera had left and he adjusted his new outfit, grinning at her. "You ready?" 

"Yeah, I'm ready to get lost in the mirror house of death." Chase nodded, eyeing the other part of the set that she'd be on for the filming. It reminded her of those weird mirror houses in carnivals and honestly, those freaked her out. Yixing laughed at her comment. "I won't let you get lost... or die, for that matter." He promised. 

For the next hour, Chase was in and out of the mirror house and in different outfits. Each one felt more expensive than the other, and Chase never felt more paranoid about wearing something. She was only in the music video for like, 45 seconds (if that) of 4 minutes. She sighed as the stylist zipped up the last dress of the shoot, before hearing her phone go off.

"Can I have that, please?" She asked, hiding in the corner from the rest of the crew as she picke dup without even looking at the receiver. "Hello?"

"Mom~" The voice brought a smile to her face immediately. "Hello Bam baby!" She greeted, "How are you?"

"Good, I'm filming for the new music video --" The more he rambled about hs day, the more worry and anxiety rose in . Something wasn't right. 

"Are you sure you're 'good', Bambam?" She asked again, only to get a sigh. "Just tired, really." The tone of his voice didn't convince her. "Don't lie to your mother!" Chase chided, her hands shaking. 

"We've been working since morning and haven't really had a lot of breaks, is all." Bambam relented a little. Chase stood up suddenly, "Have you eaten? Have you slept? Are you hurt?" 

"No, not really." Bambam's blanket answers were really eating at her nerves, and when she heard yelling at the other end and a dial tone, it sent her into a spiral. She immediately called Jackson, since she got his number from the group chat on Kakao, but was greeted with his voicemail. Chase called Tina, Su-chin, and Sophie and yet nothing but voicemails, half-hearted replies, and promises to message her later. 

She felt tighten, texting Bambam and others to try and get them to pick up. 

Yixing had been doing another part of the music video per the director's request, but had wandered over and caught sight of Chase frantically pacing and pouring over her phone.

"Are you okay?" Yixing's voice caused Chase to jump, looking at him with wide eyes, "Someone hurt?" He asked, looking concerned over Chase's current state. Usually, she'd be bright and happy, making a joke. Chase forgot how easily and quickly her anxiety worked. 

"No, I'm not." She managed to get out, "My son needs food and rest and I can't do anything about it." She felt terrible, she promised she'd take care of Bambam -- he sounded so dead on the phone, he wasn't responding specifically to her questions, then how the call ended...

"You have a son?" 

Chase would've laughed over Yixing's literal taking of the statement, but she shook her head, waving her phone around like a madwoman, "No! Bambam of GOT7, he's like my child and I need to take care of him and he just sounded like he's tired and overworked and what if he hasn't eaten he needs food --" 

"Hey, hey hey," Yixing's voice was calm and a direct constrast to Chase's whirring mind, "Look at me. Breathe, please? Can you do that for me?" She nodded, keeping eye contact with him and breathing as slowly as she could manage, her grip tight on her phone. He gently reached out to take her free hand. "Okay. Take a few more, and try and calmly explain what's going on." He instructed.

"I... I just worry a lot." Chase admitted, "I need to know he's okay and if I can do anything for him, but no one's picking up." She waved her phone. "Try him again." Yixing said.

Bambam didn't pick up, but Jackson did. He explained everything to Chase, who promised to send food to their location and pay for it. She then called Sophie again, who again didn't pick up, and resorted to JJ, who did. Yixing held her hand throughout the entire process, keeping quiet and only speaking when her panic rose again. 

"Now we've gotten that taken care of, you're okay now, right?" He asked, checking her face for any hesitations or hints that she wouldn't be okay. Chase gave a smile. "Yes. I am. Thank you, I'm usually much better at keeping under control but --"

"Did you.... Lose Control?" Yixing said, and his response from Chase was her walking away without saying another word. "W-wait, I was just, come on, that was funny!" He scrambled after her, only to see she was laughing at him. "Sorry, I had to." She apologized. He smiled, shrugging it off now knowing she was joking around. 

Chase gave her phone to a staff member as she stepped onto the platform leading to the mirror house, "Let's finish this filming so I can get out of your hair!"

It only took about an hour to finish filming with Yixing, and after taking off all the makeup and her hoodie and leggings, Chase found herself directing the driver to none other than BTS's dorm area. Yoongi's music videos and mixtape were released only days ago, and she knew he was pouring over the comments, looking for praises and criticisms and could use a distraction. 

"Min Yoongi, Agust D, Suga, Min Suga, Open Up!!" Chase listed off as many names she could remember that her friend had gone by as she knocked on the door, and was surprisingly pleased when it was actually Yoongi who opened the door. "Thank god, I was only going to get louder, you know." She commented, brushing past him and taking her shoes off. She could feel his gaze on her and squirmed a little under her hoodie. 

"You had an attack today, didn't you?" He asked, and when she didn't respond, Yoongi knew he was right. "What happened?" He asked, walking towards his room and hearing Chase follow closely behind. Once they settled in his room (Chase on the bed and Yoongi in his chair) she recounted the events of today, paying particular detail to how Yiixng took care of her and kept checking on her.

"He's so nice, Yoongi," Chase gushed, "Like, incredibly so, he knew exactly what to do when I was in over my head and it was --"

"Exactly what I do and pretty much any other decent human being would do if they knew what an anxiety attack looked like." Yoongi cut her off, fiddling with his sleeves. Chase's brow furrowed. "Sorry that he's nice and I'm happy about it??? I don't meet a lot of nice boys you know." She huffed, pouting on his bed. A few minutes passed by in silence before Yoongi sighed, running a hand through his bleached hair. 

"But that's what you have me for. To be nice." He mumbled, turning around in his chair to hide his face. Chase looked up, confused for a minute before laughing. "Oh my god, are you scared you'll get replaced?" Yoongi froze in his seat as she turned him around, averting his eyes, "Of course not! As your friend I'm scared of this 'nice guy's intentions!" 

Chase just slipped her hand into his, feeling oddly intimate with the sign of affection but smiling all the same as she intertwined their fingers, tracing over the rings that decorated his hand. "You're the one constant besides music I know I'll always have. You'll never be replaced, Yoongi." It wasn't odd for the two to have a serious conversation like this, but the intimacy of the subject was one that the two tended to avoid for one reason or another. "Besides," Chase coughed, "I don't think Yixing would even know he was flirting or if someone was flirting with him. He's a friend." 

Yoongi wasn't thoroughly convinced about Yixing, but knowing that he was that important to Chase made him push aside his fear for now.

AT MUSIC BANK...

The weekend had come and gone rather quickly, and soon enough IDYLL was reunited and finishing rehearsal and placement for the Music Bank performance. A lot of good groups were promoting around the same time. It definitely made rehearsals more fun and interesting to see the different and unique stages that they were alongside, despite having heard the songs a lot online or while on other music shows. 

IDYLL was earning attention and buzzing with excitement this week for more than just performing, though. Over the weekend, 'I SWEAR' had entered the Top Ten and was continually climbing the charts. Currently their standing was at 8, but even that was exciting. 

"You could win if you promote long enough, girls." A stylist gushed as she fixed their hair. Even mentioning winning this early on seemed impossible for the group, despite their desire to win. 

Tina turned to Sang Mi as they got ready for their interview segment, "You think it's possible? Winning with our first sub-unit song?" The leader thought for a minute, "Anything's possible. It'd be amazing, for sure." That was all she was able to get out before another younger girl group came in, bowing to their sunbaenims. "Hello, we are I.O.I's Sohye," One girl bowed, "Nayoung," another, "And Doyeon. Nice to meet you!" The three girls bowed in unison. 

The questions the girls asked were pretty standard: describing the new track, the performance, and the reaction from fans and others. 

"Your unit is based on being 'Ideal Types', so we have to ask: What are your ideal types?" Doyeon read of the cue card. 

Tina answered first, "For me, I like someone who's taller than me and takes care of me. Someone who's not hard to please and appreciates the small things. I'm not super picky myself, so I have nothing specific." 

"I'm more specific," Sang Mi admitted, "Because I'm really into astrology and zodiac compatibility and other things like that. I'm a Capricorn, so they have to be either a Taurus or a Virgo, someone with B or AB bloody type to match my O type, or be born in either the year of the Tiger or Goat because I'm a Horse." 

"Wow! Do they have to be all three?" Sohye asked, and Sang Mi laughed. "It'd be a little ridiculious if I were to request that, honestly. But one of those three requirements are needed, yes."

"Any physical traits?" Sohye asked, and Sang Mi shifted a little, "Ah, no. I'm... not too concerned about physical traits." She worded it carefully, before quickly passing it off to Chase. 

"Someone I can have a 3am conversation with," Chase began, "And obviously loves music. Most importantly physically, they must have a meaningful smile." 

"What is a meaningful smile?" Nayoung asked, and Chase laughed. "I'll let you know when I find it!" Earning a few laughs before moving on to JJ.

"Chase and I both have a similar one: He has to love music!" JJ motioned towards Chase, "He has to be competitive and keep up with me. Also being able to respect my space as well." She nodded. Their three MCs nodded, thanking them for describing them and adding a 'Surely someone out there watching is what you're looking for!' at the end.

"Something that fans are asking as well: What can we expect from IDYLL and future 4xU sounds?" Nayoung asked. JJ spoke up, "We'll continue to develop and find a sound that suits us and what we'd like to show to the fans." 

"Okay, thank you so much!" Doyeon thanked them, signing off before they had to scurry off to their next interview, leaving the girls to rehearse or relax before performing.

"You were sooo vague about your ideal type, Tina." Chase teased, only to be kicked by her friend. "Thank you, it was on purpose." She stuck her tongue out.

Sang Mi rolled her eyes at Chase's antics, "Of course we'd get who she was talking about, but people who don't know wouldn't be any the wiser." Tina smiled, glad someone got it, before they were put into the waiting room with I.O.I, discussing their songs and their excitement to be here. 

"We weren't bad interviewing you, were we?" Doyeon asked, to which Tina shook her head, "Of course not! You were all very good and cute. We hope you're having fun promoting!"

"Yes, we looove your song too!" Somi spoke up, "It's so good! Hopefully it'll win number 1!" They thanked the younger girls for their support, being rushed off for a final mic check and then being set for their performance. Before they knew it, they were in the large gathering, hearing the announcement of the number 1 song of the week being Han Dong-geun's "Making a New Ending for this Story". They applauded, and before you knew it, they had been ushered into the car and were on their way back to the dorm. Everything was becoming a set routine, and they were all blending in together faster than they anticipated. Chase yawned, putting her earphones in and settling in for some much needed sleep, while Tina called her boyfriend from the front seat and Sang Mi had her own earphones in. JJ reached for her own too, before looking and seeing that she had a request from an unknown number to become friends on kakao. She opened it, finding herself smiling as she read along.

Hey, it's Hyunsik -- I just wanted to say good job today! I hope you don't mind that I asked Sophie for your number...

Tina told N all about the show, even if he already knew because he watched it live. Suddenly, he jumped in, asking, "What would your reaction be if you were nominated for number 1 next week?"

"Of course I'd be excited, Hakyeon!" Tina immediately responded, only to be asked another by her boyfriend, "What if you won number 1 then?"

That of course, was another matter entirely. Winning number 1 was almost always the goal for k-pop idols and groups, and theirs was no exception. Tina remembered what would be at stake if they did. Once news of their re0debut (and not permanent disbandment) came around, the couple knew that their days where no one would be breathing down both of their necks would be over. They'd have to be more secretive, discreet, and they'd have to be prepared to see each other less and less. Tina and Hakyeon had also made a promise for each other: Only when Tina's group won 1st on any music show would they go to their CEOs about revealing their relationship to the public. If IDYLL won within the next few weeks....

"We'll cross that bridge when we get to it, okay?" Hakyeon's voice brought her back, "So tell me more about this misuse of an academic article you said you saw earlier?" And Tina gladly took the distraction. After all, they'd cross that bridge when and if they came to it.

More IDYLL and this time with their love interests (kinda) -- featuring two other members! I've been incessantly busy and have had this stuck in my head about the interactions for a while. I keep trying to be a good author but it's hard, pls be patient with me TT^TT In other news, I have another applyfic, Match Made in Heaven, which is open for applications until June 19th!!! I'd love more applicants, esp LGBT+ ones if you're comfortable writing that -- no pressure if you don't and want to submit a hetero app though! :D I've got a few ideas for music shows, variety, love interests and ofc there's the next full group comeback!
