Summary

Thousands of years ago, before the first human civilizations were born; the world was ruled by those called The Shadows. They embodied darkness and studied the dark magic of the world, but early humans arose against them to bring a belief of light into the world. They created a being unlike any other, someone who would guide humanity into its glory. It was the beginning of light vs. dark; good vs. evil. Something so simple, yet things were never meant to be simple. Lies, deception, they existed on both sides. This gave rise to two souls, a hero and a protector. The Chosen One and her Guardian.

Characters

The Guardians (The Elite Six)

Eunjung: Leader of the guardians. Excels not only in hand to hand combat, but also in ranged and armed combat. She is immune to all magical attacks. She is known to always have a blank expression and feels no emotion or connection to anything or anyone. The only thing she can truly feel is pain.

Hyomin: Second in command. Headstrong and opinionated, Hyomin has been alongside Eunjung the longest. She is probably the only one who truly understands their leader. She is ranked as a Fury Warrior. Armed and hand to hand combat are her specialties. Preferred weapon of choice is a katana.

Soyeon: High Priestess of the guardians. Third person to join the guardians. She is ranked as a Priest, excelling in holy magic. She is caring and compassionate with a strong sense of duty and extremely loyal. She is considered the weakest of the Elite Six because most of her abilities are healing spells, but in fact she is probably the only who can defeat Eunjung.

Boram: Fourth person to join the guardians. She is ranked as a Hunter, excelling in long range attacks and is able to tame almost any animal. Proficient with a bow, crossbow, and guns. Remarkable aim and high use of traps and trick shots. While she maintains a long range from her opponents when fighting, she is proficient enough with daggers in close range combat. She has also used the aid of animals that she has tamed to help her in battle. Loves to eat, and generally pretty quiet and shy. She is highly determined and loyal.

Qri: Fifth member of the guardians. She is ranked as a Mage. Fire, frost, and arcane are her primary source of magical attacks. Her attacks are so powerful she can one shot most of her enemies but is weak against physical attacks. Usually maintains a long range when fighting like Boram. She is self centered and likes to have things go her way. Has a crush on Eunjung.

Hwayoung: Newest member of the Elite Six. Has been part of The Guardians for only one hundred years and should be considered a rookie by training standards. She is ranked as a Arms Warrior and specializes on long range melee weapons. Her preferred weapon is a spear. She is considered a genius because of how fast she can learn and master different fighting styles and skills. She accidentally killed her master in a training session then took his position. Has a thing for Hyomin and older women in general [even though she older than the "older women"]


Civilians

Jiyeon: She's a freshman in college. She's generally very friendly and caring towards others. Enjoys helping others and loves dinosaurs which is why she chose to become an archaeologist. Best friends with Jieun since childhood. She dislikes confrontations and arguments. Has absolutely no idea that she is God's Chosen One.

Jieun: Jiyeon's best friend since childhood. Loves to tease Jiyeon but truly cares about her. She's an aspiring singer but is going to college to please her parents. Overall she's a nice girl, friendly and truly loyal to Jiyeon.

Gyuri: Narcissistic and charismatic. Became the universities most popular student and she's barely a freshman. Has a general dislike of most people around her and likes to have things go her way. She's actually much nicer than she acts but you have to win her over. Hopes to become a veterinarian.


The Shadows

Jaehee: Stand-in leader for the largest group of shadows. Referred by many as the Black Knight for she is highly skilled in combining melee and magic attacks; she is ranked as a Death Knight. She is calm and rational, a natural born leader. Is hoping to be reunited with her father, the rightful leader, and has a particular interest in Eunjung.

TaeIn: High Shadow Priestess of The Shadows. Mother to Jaehee and Kyurhee. She is very caring and compassionate towards her two daughters and her people as well. Despite being Queen, her husband chose to leave Jaehee in charge when he left for an expedition. As High Shadow Priestess, her dark magic abilities are matched by none. While generally refrains from engaging in combat, when she does enter it, it said that those who face her end up fearing even themselves.

Kyurhee: The oldest of the King's two daughters; Kyurhee is known for trickery and deception. Ranked as a Rogue, she excels in melee combat, stealth, and assassination. Despite being the oldest, her father chose her younger sister as the heir to the throne something that did not sit to well with Kyurhee at first. She is charismatic, headstrong, calculating and dislikes most humans.

Seunghyun: Commander of the King's army. Currently leads the army into battle alongside Jaehee and Jiyong, his second in command and lover. Best friend of both Jaehee and Kyurhee, he is extremely loyal to the throne. He is ranked as a Protection Warrior and avoids using the little bit of magic he knows. Hopes to see his people rise to glory once more. Is currently investigating the movements of The Shadows who have begun attacking humans.

Jiyong: Lieutenant in the King's army and second in command after Seunghyun. He is Jaehee's childhood friend and Seunghyun's lover. He can be a little goofy and dorky at times and he is also a fashionista. Loyal to the throne. Ranked as a Warlock specializing in it's Affliction abilities. Is currently investigating the movements of The Shadows who have begun attacking humans.

Kim Kwangsoo: A nobleman who is part of the King's court. Accompanied the King in his expedition and has not been seen or heard of for years. Despite always supporting the King, the Queen and her daughters never trusted him. He is known for his proficiency as a Warlock.
