Just a oneshot for my bae JiminHasNoJams on her birthday with her babies Jongin and Kyungsoo. 

Kyungsoo and Jongin grew up together. They were as close as brothers but then Kyungsoo has to move away to America with his family after his father gets a new job. Kyungsoo and Jongin swear to stay in contact, and they do. But after a while Kyungsoo starts to notice a shift in Jongin's letters, texts and phone calls. He gets terser and his humor gets cruel. He starts to get involved in a bad crowd. Eventually Jongin stops calling Kyungsoo all together. Their friendship becomes a sporadic series of text messages. When Kyungsoo graduates high school he moves back to Korea for college and reconnects with Jongin--who now calls himself Kai--and realizes that things might have changed more than he thought.

His old friend is gone, replaced by a completely different person. The only similarities between Kai and Jongin are their lazy smiles and tan skin. Kyungsoo is convinced that something has happened to Jongin, however no one will believe him when Kyungsoo claims that Jongin has been replaced. But can Kyungsoo even fix something that shouldn't be possible?
