Amused and slightly confused at how fast this turned into a “Dear Yifan” journal more or less. It’s cold today, 37 degrees. Being from Canada, I wonder why you detest the cold so much. You’ve grown up in it.

But as the skies begin to darken and the temperature continues to decrease, I’m getting excited. The first snowfalls are always my favorite. And while I’m excited, I can’t help but drift to you, wondering if this fills you with dread and makes the depression worse. I worry about you often. Are you eating? Are you happy?
