The headlines swam in front of your eyes. It seemed as though the entire world was going to implode. The president had been assassinated, racial inequalities were running rampant, and there didn't seem to be an end to the war in Vietnam in sight. You were genuinely concerned about the future, but you thought there was nothing you could do. You desperately wished you could join the counter culture, but you knew your parents wouldn't allow it, and you respected that- that is until a certain long-haired musician walked into your life.

Raise your hand if you hate me for starting a new story!
Just kidding, but really I am sorry for beginning another story when I have a few ongoing ones. However, this is one of those times when you have an idea that you just don't want to lose, so you write it down and see where it takes you. Despite the fact that I have way too many stories started, I hope that you like this one too.
This one is going to be based in the late 60s in the United States when there was a multitude of issues and social unrest. I'm also using this to get ideas down for a story I'm going to be using as a college application supplement, so feedback is much loved!

P.S. If any of you are uncomfortable with mentions of drug use then I'm going to warn you that drugs will definitely be part of this story. Afterall, the 60s were a time of serious drug culture and a time when tons of people were experimenting with psychdelics. Read at your own risk!
