Maybe she takes it for granted sometimes. The familiarity. The support. Acceptance. Yuqi doesn't get that from them.
She swallows, moving her hand just a bit closer to Minji’s, to see if maybe…maybe she could- "I'm...sorry that-" “Don't be. That’s how life can be, isn’t it? How love can be.” “It’s not…we’re, I…” “Siyeon.” Her breath catches painfully in her chest, knowing that Minji is about to release the wave of emotion she'd been trying to hold back. “Whoever said love is easy and simple is wrong. It really hurts sometimes, you know?”
Minji, a dog cafe worker, says “sit down, girl,” in her dog voice. Yoohyeon—because her brain is wired to listen to attractive women—sits down as well. The terrible horrible awkwardness of an attractive stranger laughing at you ensues. (I needed to be reminded of something lighthearted, and to post. So this is being cross-posted from my AO3. Commissioned.)
"You did not." "...I did." Gahyeon buries her face in her hands, groaning, as Siyeon looks out into the garden. The woman wanders, cautiously raising a hand to the deadened plants and looking saddened at their wilted state. "Of all the ways to piss off your siblings, you chose kidnapping!?" she huffs. "Unnie. They're going to kill you again." (Aka a quick Hades/Persephone AU of singji, feat some others sorta. Not M but mentions death.)
It was supposed to be a temp job, and the arrival of a very beautiful co-worker was enough to deal with... She really didn't expect this.
